Chapter 1 ~Before kora's awakening: our childhood~ Page 1

I didn't live in a neighborhood with a lot of kids, so as a child I was always surrounded by the grownups, I didn't wanna impress boys or girls my age, I wanted to impress my aunts and grandma's friends, that's why I always thought as a grownup. I wasn't interested in things that were 5 years old girls interested in, I mean I did play with the Barbies, but I didn't wanna go out, I didn't wanna make friends I wanted to explore the real life. I never went to kindergarten, I went to preschool to learn and not play and sleep. Most time I spend was watching crime documentaries with my grandma, that's probably the reason why I never found death terrifying, I learned about it from a young age. The first friend I had was Viki, she was a year younger than me. I had to be friends with her cause our grandparents were friends, I didn't like her at first but I've put up with her. Flora was first kid that I actually liked. The first time I ever met her was in a ballet class, we were around 5 maybe 6. I was this little overweight girl, I had short brown hair with bangs, of course and glasses that made me look like a frog. She was the opposite, she was tall with long brown hair, she was medium weight and wasn't wearing glasses but she was obsessed with hair bands. The only thing we had in common at that time was the fact that both of our parents didn't get along. We would always stand next to each other during the ballet, if I could call it that, we were just running around playing fish and sharks. Her grandpa would always come to bring her and pick her up, he is a nice man with a pure heart. My great grandma would always pick me up, Flora likes her, she says that she makes the best lasagna that she ever ate, even tho we weren't hanging at my grandmas apartment that much. I don't remember a lot of things from the ballet class, but I do remember the masquerade. We were supposed to get dressed in costumes for that day, and my dumbass of course forgot to tell my mom so I came dressed as a ballerina, very original I know, Flora was dressed as a princess she had the dress and everything, we both looked like potato's tho. We were doing those show of your costumes, I was very embarrassed since I technically didn't have a one. Flora and me got on a separate teams when we were playing games, I was kinda sad, she was the only one I got along with but when it was time to dance, Flora chose me to be her dance partner. I remember being so happy the only thought I had was "I have a friend" sad I know but hey it was as it was.
