A Fleeting Fantasy - Doukaza

Chapter 1 - The Meeting

{Douma's POV}

I was walking through a forest, when I heard the twang of a biwa. I was transported to the Infinity Fortress and was met with the silent murmurs of the other uppermoons. I looked around and spotted Akaza, at the far end of the platform. Just the sight of him made my eyes light up. I was about to walk over when I heard yet another twang from the biwa of uppermoon four. We were lined up, kneeling in front of the raised platform, where Muzan appeared, looking down on us. I saw him open his mouth and he started to speak. "You have been called here today to report your findings. I would like to know of any progress that you've made in finding the flower I desire." One by one, I heard my fellow demons tell Muzan about how much information they had gathered on the flower. Before I knew it, Muzan left, and the meeting was over. We were free to roam and some of the uppermoons left. I looked around and spotted Akaza in the exact same spot he was in before the meeting. I decided I would go talk to him and see how he was.

{Third Person POV}

Douma walked over to Akaza in a stride and stopped. Akaza looked up and seemed irritated by the sight before him. Douma started to talk happily, "Oh hello, Akaza-Dono!" Akaza responded with a grunt and looked back towards the floor. "Oh don't be like that!" Douma said. Akaza ignored Douma and started to walk away. Douma followed him until he stopped. Akaza looked back and yelled, "Why are you following me?!" Douma smirked and stood there smiling. Akaza turned back around and started to walk away yet again, but was stopped when he felt something grab a hold of his waist.

{Akaza POV}

I looked over my shoulder and saw Douma standing behind me, grabbing me and pulling me towards him. I immediately flushed out of embarrassment and Douma whispered in my ear. "Akaza-Dono. Why are you ignoring me?" With those words I punched him in the face and heard his head hit the floor a few feet away. I ran over to Nakime and asked her to send me back to where I was before. She sensed my urgency and I was quickly transported back to the village I was observing. Why did Douma always try to annoy me? I decided I was going to do everything I could to stay away from him.

{Douma POV}

I felt my head fly off of my body and heard footsteps. I regenerated my head and saw that Akaza had left. He was always so angry whenever he saw me or I came near. I felt.. weird when he left. My face went blank and I was confused. Why did I feel so weird whenever he rejected me? I decided to ignore it for the time being and went over to Daki, who was standing next to Gyutaro, to ask her about it. "Daki!" I said happily. She looked over and smiled. "I feel something weird and I'm not sure what it is, so I came to you for guidance." I finished and she started to question me. "How do you feel? And why do you think you feel like that?" I replied, "I sort of feel, cold and disappointed. I started to feel that way after Akaza punched me and ran off." Daki turned to her brother for confirmation and looked back towards me. "I think you might possibly have feelings for Akaza. Most likely some sort of love since you said you were disappointed when he left. I'm guessing you felt sad because of how he rejected you." I looked at Daki in surprise. I thanked her for the information and walked away. I.. was in love.. with Akaza-Dono?
