"Hey Y/N!" Hu Tao yelled as she knocked on your house.

The pandemic was still going on, and no one on Liyue was allowed to go out. But of course, Hu Tao had her ways.

She visited your home bringing a lot of Jueyun Chillies, and your favorite flowers, Glaze Lillies.

It was September 3, XXXX one day after Xiangling died. So it made you cry upon seeing the chillies.
You wiped you tears out quickly and started working on the food.

Hu Tao started noticing how quiet you've been though.
"You need a change of scenery." She grinned at you like she was planning something.
"Oh, what now TaoTao??" You sighed and carried on with the dish.

No one replied. That didn't bother you at first but then you remembered Hu Tao was at your home. The thought made you red in the face but also embarrassed to forget who you just invited.

You frantically panic looking everywhere for Hu Tao, only for you to hear three knocks on your door. You quickly opened it.

"FOR MY FAVORITE GIRL!!!" She yelled, handing you a box with brownies tied with a beautiful crimson red ribbon.
You were frozen in place by the shock and the gesture but you felt like your heart was about to melt.

Hu Tao placed the brownies in the table and hugged you tight.
"Wanna eat everything on your roof?" She said, with her tone suddenly changing to something more malicious.

Eating on your rooftop was your favorite thing. But because of this busy pandemic, you've never done that anymore. You questioned how Hu Tao knew about that though, but ignored it.

"W-wait, what if the milelith see us??" You replied worriedly

"They're never on patrol anyway, they're too scared!" Hu Tao replied joyfully

"What if we catch the virus!!??"

"Oh trust me, you won't!! It's been a few hours since the massive deaths, the virus has calmed down a bit."

"What if-!"

"Enough what if's!! Let's goo!!!" Hu Tao interrupted you and ran to the kitchen, bringing the dishes and taking them to the roof while you slowly go up the stairs with your brownie box.

You climbed up and the first thing you saw was exquisite beauty. Looking at the sky you haven't seen in ages then looking at Hu Tao. Who you thought was even more beautiful. Or no, not just beautiful. She was ethereal in you eyes.

It was like, for a split second you forgot about Xiangling. Not forgetting about her entire existence but the fact she died. For a split second it feels like she's still with you.

You inhaled the fresh hair, and carefully walked down the slightly slanted roof. You held the chimney for support and sat down.
Hu Tao was already sitting down, though.

The sun was setting, the girl who you deeply love is beside you, the fresh aroma of warm dishes, it all felt so romantic. For a split second you want time to stop so you can relive this moment over and over again. You felt at peace.

Well of course, good things must come to an end. You were disappointed, but you were also looking forward the next time you see Hu Tao. Turns out, it's not as soon as you thought.
