"♪ How does he know who I am? And why does he give a damn about me? ♪"

You were bored. You had done horribly and were tired and sore too. You just wanted to cry. You were swimming at a meet, and when you had gotten dry after cooling down, some random people came up and asked for your number. They were looking at you weirdly and they were older than you, so you said "no, I can't remember it," Which was partly true, but you did have your phone on you so you could check if you wanted.

Then they made you uncomfortable and started asking for your snap instead. You refused, but the guys still kept talking to you.

Then h/n, who you always noticed, came up and saved you, pretending to be your boyfriend.

"Why are you bothering y/n?"

He said. You were grateful for him at that moment. He was also standing millimetres away from you, which you didn't mind whatsoever. And although he was drenched and still wet from the pool water, he smelt surprisingly good.

Luckily, they were intimidated by him, apologized and walked away. You let out a breath you didn't even realize you were holding.

"Thanks for that h/n, I owe you one," You said.

"I didn't realize you even knew who I was, y/n!" He replied.

"You took the words right out of my mouth," You laughed.

"Hey, your shivering, Take my hoodie." He took his hoodie off, showing his well-toned chest and handed it to you.

"I didn't even know I was shivering look it's fine, you would be cold too, you're literally shirtless and wet!" You rambled, pouting at the end. He just shoved it on your head with wet hair, not taking no for an answer and saying that he was fine.

"Thanks for the hoodie, and for saving me back there too! I really do owe you one." You smiled.

"You can pay me back by giving me your snap, you seem really good to talk to!" He said.

"Sure!" You didn't know him that well other than watching him from afar, but you felt perfectly fine with him.

You gave him your snap, and you told him to text later since you had to go get ready for your next race. You waved to each other as you walked away.

You talked to your coach, marshalled for your favourite and best event with a contagious smile, and got a big PB. Although it was your best, you had been stuck at the same time forever. c/n congratulated you, and you went to cool down. After you got out, you dried yourself with a towel and put the sale hoodie on.

You walked back to where your club was and bsf/n said

"y/n, you traitor! Why are you wearing a h/c/n hoodie?"

And of course, she's exceptionally loud so basically, everyone's attention was on you. You mentally facepalmed your forgetfulness. Your swim club was extremely nice, (most of the time) but they're always interested in everyone's life, especially their love life.

"h/n/n? Why are you wearing h/n's hoodie?" f/n asked, spinning you around to see the name printed on the back. You explained what happened to your closest teammates, and they smiled and cheered you on.

Everyone calmed down and you laid down on your bag, trying to get comfy since there were no chairs. You put the hood on and curled up, pulling the hoodie to your face. It mostly smelt like chlorine (duh) but it did smell like him when he pulled you to his side earlier. Smiling to yourself, you got a notification.

You got a text from "h/n <3". He was the one who put the heart there, but you didn't mind at all.

H/n <3

Hey :)

Heyyy :D

Looks like this will be a fun meet after all.

h/n POV

I was staring at y/n as l was about to go cool down after my race, when I saw her getting cornered by a bunch of guys. She looked uncomfortable so I told them to back off from "my" y/n. l honestly liked the sound of that a lot. I was standing close to her, my arm wrapped around her waist. And damn, she smelt so nice. When the guys left, she breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Thanks for saving me back there h/n, I owe you one," she said.

"I didn't realize you even knew who I was, y/n!" I replied.

"♪how does she know who I am?♪"

"You took the words right out of my mouth," she laughed.

"Hey, your shivering, Take my hoodie" I took my hoodie off, showing my shirtless chest underneath and handed it to her.

"I didn't even know I was shivering, look it's fine, you would be cold too, you're literally shirtless and wet," she said, pouting at the end. Does she want to kill me with that pout?? I just shoved it on her head, not taking no for an answer and saying that I was fine.

"Thanks for the hoodie, and for saving me back there too! I really do owe you one :)" she smiled. She looks so pretty

"You can pay me back by giving me your snap," I said winking but realized that probably wasn't a great idea considering the situation she was just in, my smile falling.

"Sure! I'll give you my number too!" She said, beaming at me. Thank god I didn't mess up.

I put my contact in her phone as h/n <3, I thought I was overdoing it, but seeing what I did she put a heart too. She said she had to go for her race, so we waved, and she went to marshal. She didn't do very well in her other races today, so I hoped she'd do well in this one. She marshalled in MY hoodie, with a contagious smile. I checked meetmobile, and she got a huge PB!

I back to where my club was, and one of my mates asked me what a Warragul girl was doing with my hoodie, I explained what happened. He asked how I managed to talk to a girl that hot, and I just glared at him. He says he was kidding, and he better be.

Once I thought she had finished her cooldown and everything, I texted her.

Y/n <3
