"Great job Darcy!" My coach Steve, yelled to me. I had just landed a perfect backflip off of the bar.
"Thanks! I yelled back, walking toward him.
"That trick will help you win worlds!" He exclaimed.
"Yeah! I cant wait for Thursday!" I said. Next Thursday we were going to have a big competition before worlds. I walked over to the bleachers, and slipped my shoes on.
"Bye!" I yelled.
"See you tomorrow!" He said, waving goodbye. I walked out the door, and got on my bike. I started to ride down the road. It felt very empty and quite. A large black truck started to drive by, but for a minute it was right beside me. I couldn't see who was in the truck, because the windows were tinted. The car finally drove by. I was alone again. That's when i realized i had forgotten my bag at the gymnasium. I turned around hoping that coach Steve was still there so the doors were open. 10 minutes later i finally reached the parking lot. To my surprise there was a small, silver Honda parked beside the door. I hid behind the trash can hoping that whoever was in the car wouldn't see me. That's when the car door opened. I couldn't see who the person was, because they were wearing a hood, but i could tell it was a woman. She was holding a ring with a couple of keys on it. The girl started to walk toward the doors. She reached out and unlocked them. Something bad was going on. Coach Steve was the only one who had the keys to the gymnasium. She quickly walked inside. I crept over to the small window on the side of the building, and looked inside. It was dark, and i could here her boots hitting the floor as she walked inside. I was starting to get really nervous, because she made a B line for the trophy case. With a nother key on the ring, she unlocked the small glass windows. "This cant be happening." I thought. And exactly what i didn't want to happen, she did. Within 20 seconds, the first place gold trophy, was gone.
I woke up, sweating. It was all a dream? I thought. What if it was actually going to happen. I knew I was just suspecting, but I had a feeling something bad was going to happen. I slowly got up, feeling worried. It was morning, about 10 o'clock. I had Gymnastics in 45 minutes. I quickly put my long, red hair into a large bun, and but on my sparkly blue gymnastics suit. I went downstairs, and my mom was sitting at the table doing work. I made myself a bowl of cereal, and sat down. 10 Minutes later I was riding my bike down the road. I heard the sound of a car coming, and I looked behind me just to see the black truck from my dream, I sped up my bike. It just passed right by me though. I went as fast as I could and I was there within the minute. When I pulled in the parking lot, i was flushed with concern. There was a police car out side. I walked over to coach Steve. "What's going on!?" I asked.
"Oh.. Hey Darcy." He said, hesitating. "Well... last night someone stole the first place trophy."
"What?!" I said, rushing inside. I walked over to the trophy case, and sure enough, there was a blank spot where it used to be. I knew it. My dream was a sign. I walked back outside, and over to Steve. "Is there still practice today?" I asked.
"Yes, but I can't be here today. I have to do a lot of work because of this." He waved to a woman, and she walked over.
"Darcy, this is Madeline." He said. "She will be coaching you while I'm not here."
"Hi! It's nice to meet you!" She said.
"Hi." I grumbled. Madeline led me inside, and we walked over to the beam. I showed her my routine a couple of times. She seemed nice, but I was still having a bad feeling. Suddenly I heard someone clapping loudly.
"WOO!" Horris yelled. Not him. Ugh. Horris was the most annoying person I have ever seen. He has a huge crush on me, and he just appears out of nowhere. He eats 3 day old food, even if it has been sitting out.
"Go away!" I yelled to him.
"Do you like my shirt?!" He asked. He was wearing a very undersized pink tee shirt, that said "Rarity Rules!" From My Little Pony on it. He LOVES My Little Pony. "No. I don't like it." I yelled. I heard him quietly say "dang it." I was trying really hard not to laugh, because his shirt was so undersized, that it looked like it was cutting his circulation.
