The following is an Immortal Flames appointed interview with Hirosch Namitz following the events of Season 3.
Welcome, Hirosch.
"Hello."
We're going to ask you a few questions regarding your involvement with the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and their newfound allies. Within the past three months, you have found yourself amidst friends and foes alike that have never been seen before. Do you have any general thoughts on such changes within your life?
"What matters most is that I'm doing what I can to help. Regardless of my position or my ability, as long as there are people out there living their lives in peace, it wouldn't matter to me how I went about it. All of these new people and places can get overwhelming, yes, but I signed up for this. This isn't something that I'd ever want to walk away from."
Is there anything you've grown to regret while these changes occurred?
"...Some. Not being fast enough to help people when it mattered or not having the strength or control to do what needs to be done in the moment. Everything is fine, yeah, but…sometimes I'm a detriment. And that feeling sticks with you."
Have those feelings coupled with new places and people made your job as an Immortal Flame harder?
"Well, you already know what Strun pulled back on the Misery. It's the differing opinions and actions of others that make it hard to pinpoint exactly why you keep moving, but everything else just kind of fell into place afterwards. Nothing's really changed. I'm still me, I still have this position, and I still consider myself worthy to hold it. Hell, I was given this position because the Bull of Ala Mhigo saw something in me. Whatever that something was, I still have it. I know that I still have it, and I'm going to make good use of it. That is something that I can promise."
Past all of these developments that have occurred surrounding others within your circle, one of the most intriguing of these changes was the proposed connection between yourself and the Seventh Umbral Calamity. If it's alright with you, could you relay what it was that you had stated of that connection?
"Oh boy, um…a woman named Inaku showed up to the Vault after King Thordan fled to Meracydia. She told the story of how I, alongside the Primal Bahamut and the Garlean Legatus Zenos Yae Galvus, were created by the otherworldly extremists that have been plaguing Eorzea known as the Ascians. We were made as Vessels, our sole purpose in life being to wreak havoc during the Calamity. Bahamut was the Vessel of Rebirth, Zenos was the Vessel of Destruction, and I was…Perseverance. I was the Vessel of Perseverance, and I…took the lives of her parents mindlessly. Right in front of her. That's why she wants revenge on me. Because I…I…"
…Hirosch?
"I-I couldn't remember anything. I failed, was found, and taken in. And now I'm…I might just be…living a lie. T-the soul of a Reaper lives inside me, and I don't even remember it! I…I just…"
If you wish to end the interview early, Hirosch, we can.
"...Y-yes. Please."
