The soft sound of munching can be heard.
You look around to find a small demon like creature eating blood tainted snow, "you shouldn't eat that, it's not good for you." The demonic looking child growled and lunged at you. You felt bad for the guy, so you used your dendro vision to subdue his arms and legs.
"Listen, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to help, and give you a proper meal." The boy gradually calmed down but kept his guard up. "What's your name little one?" He didn't speak. "Do you not have a name?" The boy still did not speak, but you could read it all through his eyes. "Hmm, how about I just call you..." You looked around.
"How about I just call you Xiao? It's because you're so small right now, but I'm sure you'll grow and then the name will vanish. Just until you get a proper name. I Don't want to give you a name myself, because I'm not worthy of naming anyone."
You could see the faintest sparkle in his eyes, but it faded soon after.
You undid the ties on him and reached into your bag, "Here. It's not much, but it's all I have." You pulled out some almond tofu you made before leaving civilization just the other day. "It's called almond tofu. It's a soft tasting dish, much better than eating snow." You stood up as you had been sitting the whole time after being pushed to the ground earlier.
You gave a small smile to the male, "I don't know exactly what or it is that's doing this to you, but I promise you I'll help you. Well not me myself, but I do have a friend who is really strong, I know he'll be able to help you." You tried patting the male's head and for some reason he didn't flinch like he did earlier, "Be patient. One day, you'll be free from your shackles."

For the next few weeks you visited the male daily. You reached out to your friend and waited patiently for his arrival. It would take these few weeks for him to arrive as he had other business to finish.
You were now on your way back from visiting Xiao, until you were stopped by some big demons. You weren't exactly the strongest, and you really hated conflict. With your dendro vision, you only ever used it to benefit your team: healing, shielding, climbing, etc. But fighting was something you could not do, not just because you didn't want to, but you couldn't.
