I was sitting with my brother Cory in his living room. We were talking and I was skectching in my sketch book. Cory got up and said, "Do you want some hot chocolate." I nodded and said, "Yes please." He nodded and went to the kitchen. When he was in the kitchen there was a knock on the door. I got up and said, "I'll get it." I walked to the door and opened it seeing a woman standing there. I smiled and said, "Hello can I help you?" The woman looked at me and said, "Oh I'm sorry I thought this was Cory Lambert's house." I smiled and said, "It is please come on in. I'm Y/N Cory is my brother." She smiled and walked in and said, "I'm Jane." I nodded and said, "Oh the FBI agent Cory's been telling me about you, but he didn't tell me how beautiful you are." She blushed and said, "Um thanks is Cory here." I nodded and yelled out, "Cory Jane is here." He walked out of the kitchen and said, "Oh hey what's up?" She looked at him and said, "I found out the identity of the guy we found. His name was Matt." I dropped all my stuff that I was cleaning up and they both looked at me. Cory said, "Y/N did you know Matt?" I nodded and said, "Yeah Nat was my friend and Matt was her boyfriend." Jane looked at me and said, "Do you know where he works?" I nodded and said, "Um yeah he works at the oil rig." Cory looked at Jane and said, "We can go tomorrow." She nodded and I said, "I want to come." The both looked at me and Cory said, "No way Y/N if the other guys there are part of this you could get hurt." I looked at him and said, "I'll be fine Cory you seem to forget that I use to be in the FBI and that I am now a park ranger and that I am the one who taught you how to track and hunt. I'll be fine. Plus I know that those guys won't talk to strangers, but they know me so they might talk to me." He sighed and looked at Jane and said, "It's up to you." She looked at me and said, "You can come as long as your careful." I nodded and said, "Of course I'll be careful." She nodded and left.

~The next day~

I was standing with Cory as we got ready to go meet with Jane and the cheif. We had our snow clothes on and I had two guns and a lot of extra ammo. When we were both ready Cory looked at me and said, "Are you sure you want to do this?" I nodded and said, "Yep." He nodded and we got in his car and drove to where we were meeting everyone. When we got there we hopped out of the car and stood while Jane talked everyone through everything. After she was done we all hopped on the snowmobiles. Cory headed a different way from the rest of us so he had a high vantage point. We got to the oil rig property and hopped of the snowmobiles and a guy drove up to us and said, "How can I help you?" The cheif said, "Does Matt Rayburn work here?" The guy nodded and said, "Yeah. Do you know where he is?" The cheif responds and him and Jane have a small conversation with the guy as another guy pulls up. The other guy says, "Is everything okay?" The first guy says, "Yeah they are just here about Matt?" Jane looks at both of them and said, "What happened to you to you look a little torn up?" The guy said, "It's the pine branches if you hit one of them doing 60 it does some damage." I then noticed that two more guys had pulled up and one of them was holding a gun. One of the deputy's who was with us said, "Does Matt bunk here on the property." The guy nodded and said, "Yeah we all do." The same deputy asked if we could see his trailer and the guy said yes and that her would walk us.

As we were walking the guy asked a question about Matt and Jane said, "His girlfriend filed a missing persons report." As we were walking I felt that something was wrong and instinctivly put my hand on my weapon. The guy looked at Jane and said, "How is that possibly I thought you guys found her in a snow drift right before the storm?" Jane looked at him confused and said, "Excuse me?" He said, "I heard her name of the radio when you found her." That's when I knew something was definetly wrong because I listen to my radio all day and Nat's name was never mentioned the day they found her. Jane said, "I don't remember using her name." We stopped walking and the oil rig workers started to flank us. One of the deputies noticed to and started to freak out than grabbed his weapon. Everyone one else grabbed their guns too, but I didn't I just undid my holster and kept my hand on my gun. The oil rig guys started yelling that the deputies and cheif didn't have jurisdiction here because it's private property and federal ground. Jane stepped into the middle of everyone and said, "I'm FBI I am the only one with jurisdiction here everyone lower your weapons." They all did except for the one deputy. Jane looked at him and said, "Deputy. Holster your weapon now." She walked over to the aparent leader of the oil guys and said, "Takes us to Matt's trailer." He nodded and we started to walk again. I walked up to Jane and leaned into her ear and whispered, "Something doesn't feel right." She looked at me and said, "I know." We got to a trailer and the guy said, "This is it." The chief said, "Does he bunk with anybody?" The guy nodded and said, "Yeah me and Pete. Pete's in there now sleeping." Jane walked up to the door and knocked saying, "FBI. Open up." When the guy didn't open the door Jane tried to open it, but it was locked and she looked at the leader guy and said, "Are you sure someone is in there?" The guy yelled, "Hey Pete it's Curtis. FBI is standing in front of the door. Open up!" I looked away for a second when I heard Cory's voice come through on the chief's walkie. The chief looked away for a second than looked back and said, "Jane, get away from the door!" Before she could react a shoot was fired through the door and Jane went flying back.
