Oh, no, my table. It's as broken as my brain.

Mia took the last bite of her burger, before applying a coat of lipgloss. Tammy was already in her dress, sat on the ground next to the floor-length mirror perfecting her eyeliner and stuffing fries in her mouth, while Robert and Athena were on the bed watching animal videos on his phone. Both had been ready for about an hour now and were simply waiting for the two of them to be done.

"Oh, are we finally ready to go, your highnesses?" Athena groused, looking up from a video of a wombat. Mia took one last look at the front camera of her phone and stood up straight, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Robert looked up at her, his eyes travelling from her dress to her face. He stood up and leaned against the door without saying anything, but his eyes never left her. Lastly, Tammy got up and straightened her dress, joining Mia and Athena as they grabbed their purses to leave.

"Let's go then, ladies." Robert opened the door for them and made sure it was locked before following them outside.

"Where exactly do we need to be?" Mia took a peek at Tammy's phone.

"It's a few streets away from our hotel. Don't embarrass me, this is the best club I've been able to find." She showed her the map and told them that the walking distance was only ten minutes.

"Couldn't you have picked anything closer? I'm wearing heels,'" Athena complained.

Tammy looked down at her black converse pair. They didn't really go with her dress, but she didn't care, sneakers were much easier to dance in. " Do you want to wear mine?"

Athena looked up at her, visibly confused. "Why are you nice to me again?"

Tammy rolled her eyes. "Can I ever do something good in your eyes?"

"No, actually!"

Athena fastened her pace, but Tammy did the same, catching up to her roommate. "Well, I take the offer back!" She yelled at Athena.

"Good!" She yelled back. "I wouldn't fit into those incredibly big shoes anyway."

"So now you're insulting my feet?"

"Was I not clear enough?!"

Mia and Robert strolled a few metres back, enjoying the cool evening air. The sky was slowly turning darker, filled with stars and purple clouds that covered the moon like a worn blanket.

She overheard the conversation between Athena and Tammy, and threw a quick look at Robert, frowning.

"That was not something I was expecting," She couldn't help the bemused smile that appeared on her face.

Robert slipped his fingers in between hers. "What didn't you expect?"

"Athena with... Tammy."

"As in, enemies...?" He frowned at the same time she did. Completely clueless.

"As in, they like each other." Mia stared at the two in front of them, bickering like a couple that had been together for sixty years.

"Is this supposed to be romantic?" Robert squeezed her hand but remained confused. "If I'm supposed to insult you to gain your attention, you should have told me sooner."

"What? No, don't insult me," She laughed, cheeks turning pink, "but this is Athena we're talking about. She's basically incapable of flirting like a normal person would. Trust me, she likes Tammy."

"I thought she was Tammy's biggest hater?"

Mia nodded, swallowing before she answered. "She is... I mean, she was?"

"And now they like each other?"

"One night of sharing a bed can change peoples' lives, have you never read fanfiction?"

"Can't say I have..." Robert thought back to their pillow fight, and all of the hours after in which he watched her sleep, far too troubled to do the same.

He was in awe of her at that moment, with delicate lashes laying on her cheeks and messy hair framing her face, Mia had looked beautiful in a way that was hard to put into words. Robert had no plans of ever confessing this out loud, as there was something about watching a girl in her sleep that just screamed 'psycho-behaviour' to him, and he liked to consider himself a fairly normal dude.

Tammy turned around, tugging at Mia and Robert's arms, dragging them into the big building with neon signs at the front and blaring music coming from the inside.

They were hit with the overpowering smell of beer and tobacco the moment they came in and their faces burned up in the hot air, but that was the feeling of partying and Mia loved it.

"Let me get you all a drink!" Robert yelled over the music and disappeared to find the bar.

The three girls started to dance in a circle, Mia and Athena putting their arms around each other as they swayed to a random hip hip song that did not sound familiar to them at all, but seemed to be known by the entire club.

A short man with black curly hair and an impressive moustache for his age approached Tammy and started dancing around her, yet before he could even strike up a conversation, she shoved his face away with the palm of her hand and rolled her eyes.

"We're too gay for this, I can't be here surrounded by men!" She yelled, looking at Athena for a moment too long, which was more than enough for Mia to figure it out.

She jerked Athena's arm and cried out: "I can't believe you guys hooked up and haven't told me!"

Athena pressed her lips together, her eyes growing wide as she hissed back at her. "Shut up, Moe."

Mia took one look at her best friend's distress and burst out laughing.

"I'm sorry for liking your ex! The one I hate the most too!" She sounded so defeated that it was almost laughable.

Mia shook her head, "Aine, you're fine, go dance." She pushed her friend in Tammy's direction and searched for Robert in the crowd. "But I don't want to hear about marriage again on the rest of the trip!"

"Fine!" Athena grumbled, bringing her drink against her chest. Mia gave her a smile but was distracted when her eyes finally found the blond Aussie, who gave her a devastating grin.

"So, after the trip, I can get in contact with venues?" Mia groaned, grabbing Athena's hand and dragging her through the crowd towards Tammy. "What?! I'm not here to fuck spiders. Y'know, this would make a hilarious Wattpad fanfiction."

"Shut the fuck up, Pretty Boy."
