Els POV
I held hands with max as we ran around the mall holding hands, we went to scoops Ahoy and grabbed 2 strawberry waffle cones until Steve said, "wait el-?, are you even supposed to be here.?"
Me and max looked at each other and laughed as we ran out of the ice cream shop, I told max I needed the restroom, and she nodded with a smile on her face.
I went into the bathroom until I got pinned agenst a wall, I looked up slightly and saw that it was a bully from school..
She started punching me and kicking me to the ground until she left me there like an unconscious abandoned house.
MAX POV
Ell has been in the bathroom for 17 mins now, I should check in on her.
I walked into the bathroom to only find a Beaten up girl which was el.
I dropped to my knees and held her body with my arm until she opened her eyes and sat up painfully, I was furious when I asked her, "WHO DID THIS!?" She looked at me with tears in her eyes as i painfully whipe her tears away until she said this, "stay did it,s-Stacy did." "Stay right here" as I say sweetly and softly as I stand up and searching for Stacy.
There she is, with her fake friends gathered up laughing at the fact they beat el up, "hey,Stacy." I say. She replied with, " oh hey max!" She says innocently but she knows what she did, I walked up to her with my fists clenched together making my fists turn white when I suddenly throw a powerful punch at her, she looks petrified as I say, "Lay ONE more finger on MY GIRLFRIEND, your DEAD". I rush back to the bathroom when I see el with her knees tucked in crying and sobbing, I felt really bad for her, I carry her out the mall to the closest hospital I could find. Eventually I found one and rushed in.
EL POV
I wake up in a hospital bed with a dark figure next to me holding my hand when I feel sharp pains everywhere, as I try to picture the figure next to me, I realise that it's max.
She looks down at me sadly and filled with relief, I questioned her with, "where am I..?"
She kisses my lips as she sweetly says, "your in hospital" I look at her with a confused look at I remember Stacy beating me up, I grip tight hold of Max's hand as hopper and Joyce come barging in the room and surrounding the bed with tears in there eyes when they see there daughter in a hospital bed in pain, they eventually say, "are you okay, we heard what happened." I reply with, "I'm fine guys." They leave the room to give max and me some alone time with each other when max suddenly says, "I'm never ever going to leave your side AGAIN because I hate seeing you like this baby."
I blush at the nickname but I smile at her so she knows I'm fine. She smiles back as she hugs me and says, "I love you." I smile with my head on her shoulder crying silently thinking, this is what true love feels like.
