Well here I am writing this... with a cold. T.T I hate the runny nose the most ugh, but I'm good. I have tissue B-). Here is the story. I hope you like it. Oh yea, so you guys don't get too confused, if I introduce the story with "Present Time..." then its present time. If I don't, it's not present time, but earlier. You guys will have to wait to see if Tenten survives in the next chapter. Hehehehehehe...

I signed in annoyance as Neji and I sat in the car. Apparently, Temari wasn't kidding when she said she was going to pair us up. We were assigned to look at the crime scene. The police cleared the crime scene yesterday so we could have a better look.

Neji noticed my annoyanced and threw me a quick look of concern before turning his attention back to the road. "Is everything ok Yane," Neji questioned. "Yeah... I'm just not a fan of road trip," I replied. The suspect chose a crime scene that was about a hour from the department.

"Quite the impatient one," he teased. I scofted and looked out the window. I saw him glance at me again before looking back at the road. "I apologize. It wasn't my intention to upset you."

Almost immediately, I felt guilty. "No I apologize. It wasn't you Neji. I just get a little defensive when people joke around like that..." I blushed at how childish I sound. 'Great job Ten. Way to sound like a five year old,' I thought to myself.

I was broken out of my thought when I heard a chuckle escape from Neji. "A little? You look like you were going to kick my ass," he said, a smirk spreading across his face.

All sense of guilt for the man beside me vanished instantly and I glared at him. "You wanna see me try," I questioned, hitting him slightly on the arm. "Oh I wish you woul-," he cut himself off.

"What's wrong," I asked, looking worried. The car began to slow down. Before it stopped completely, Neji managed to move it to the side of the road. "I don't know. The car just stopped," he said with an annoyed expression.

Neji got out of the car and checked the hood of it. After a few minutes, he was back inthe car. "Nothing seems to be wrong. How about I go see if there is anyone who can help?" He made his way out the car.

"Well wait a minute! Let me just check-," Neji cut me off. "Don't bother. You could make it worse. Don't touch anything until I get back," he commanded as he walked away from the car.

I sign and waited for Neji to return. I tried to call Temari, but my phone didn't have service. 'This sucks,' I thought to myself. How the hell did I manage to turn from a FBI agent to a victim right out of a horor movie?

It felt like hours have passed when Neji returned. I fell asleep. "I couldn't find anyone." The sound of Neji's voice and the car door slaming shut woke me up. "Just try it again. The engine might have just heated up," I suggested and yawned.

Neji signed and turned the key . Almost immediately, it turned on. "I told ya," I said before closing my eyes. We weren't even close to the crime scene, yet I felt like I moved a mountain. The purring of the car was putting me to sleep.

I could've sworn I heard Neji say sweet dreams, but I was too out of it to care. On that note, I allowed myself to sleep.

Here is my story. I really hope you liked it. I'm gonna start writing the next chapter before I lose my motivation. But first....

Why did the car stop?

What took Neji so long?

What's with the "sweet dreams?"

Am I stupid for wanting to do this?

Probably!

One way to find out:

The next NEXT chapter hahahahahahahahahha
