Rule 1: Hylas is the protector of heroes to be. He will protect you from your enemies, but once you are of age, you are outside his protection and he cannot help you any further.
Rule 2: Hylas can grant any of three wishes or boons the hero asks for. The boons use a heroes good karma as payment and are designed to help a hero ether on there quest or after it. These boons can take the form of anything you want or need, be it information, a skill or a magical tool, or something you want Hylas to do. Heroes cannot ask for more boons (so stop asking, seriously, it's annoying) and all boons must be paid for (no freebies, that sucks).
Rule 3: Hylas cannot interfere with destiny, preventing a person from becoming a hero or stopping someone from rejecting being a hero (loophole, I can interfere if it's stopping you from being a hero)
Rule 4: Hylas cannot directly kill a sentient life. (loophole, I can indirectly kill you, or tell you how to kill someone)
Rule 5: Hylas can be summoned by anyone, hero or not, saying his name three times. (Save it for emergencies, seriously, it's annoying if it's not.)
Rule 6: Hylas cannot give a boon or interfere in a way that would make it impossible for a dark lord to win; somehow they must be capable of winning (because evil masterminds just love having a fair go, don't they? Also, I have to sabotage my own people? Fuck this rule.)
Rule 7: In the name of preserving the innocence of humanity and containing the damage done by the forces of evil, Hylas cannot reveal the existence of other heroes to other heroes, only telling them if they discover this information by themselves. The mixing of heroes and dark lords would magnify the damage they cause together and risk transforming them into threats to the whole world. (This rule was created during World War 2 and it's the only rule I'm kinda all for. That was a fucking nightmare and if this stops another war between heroes, then by all means)
