Around four months have passed, Venti and Xiao have don't nothing but get closer and closer since then

Xiao was thinking it was time to ask venti about their relationship but each time he came close he would get to nervous

X: I need to do this soon otherwise Venti might fall out of love and find someone new..

Xiao walks out of his room and sees Venti sitting on the couch watching some random anime

X: Uh Venti ?

V: Yeah Xiao ?

X: Uhm-

V: Xiao you've been doing this the past couple of days, just tell me what's wrong

X: Well, do you think we are close enough to start, dating yet ?

Xiao says quietly, especially the 'dating' part

V: What's that ? I didn't quite hear !

Venti said with a smug smile on his face

X: I'm not repeating myself !

V: Fine fine, I do admit I heard just fine

Venti said as he shrugged his shoulders

V: but anyways, all jokes aside, I'll be ready when you are, ok ?

X: I-

V: And I know what you were thinking before this, you were thinking " If I don't ask Venti now, he'll fall out of love and find someone new" to which I say, that will never happen

X: Thank you..

V: Oh Xiao, you are so worked up over nothing, everything will be okay, I will never love anyone else other than you, 'till the day we die

After he said that, Venti stood up and opened his arms for a hug, Xiao understood this and came over to hug Venti

It was a tight and warm embrace, it made Xiao fell safe, like if he and Venti were the only ones left in an overgrown flower garden, it felt nice, but yet, he was crying, crying like he was rejected by the only person he'd ever loved, he didn't know why

Venti could feel Xiao's tears falling into his shoulder, so he just hugged Xiao tighter and closed his eyes

V: I promise you are safe with me Xiao, I promise I will never hurt you

X: Thank you...

Xiao spoke into Venti's shoulder through his tears

V: It's ok..
