High School Pregnancy {Book 1}

Chapter 1 - It All Started

Riley had looked at the current situation she had found herself at. She was turning 17 while her whole life was about to change. She was a young teenage girl, yes. But that wasn't all that she was. Right now, she was a girl who had waited on the results of a few tests that could change her life. She was sitting on her bathroom floor at 3am in the morning and looking at 4 different kind of pregnancy tests.

But she didn't know what had happened at all. Of course she knew how it had happened but not why. When it came to having sex, she nor Lucas wanted to rush it. They had started to date when she was around 14 years old, but she also didn't know when it would be the right time. But then they had decided on his 18th birthday that it was the right time.

Riley definitely knew that they were safe, but she was clearly wrong. She was on birth control, for her irregular periods, and with the whole process both took the needed precautions. But she had also not been feeling well. Riley was feeling extremely sick for the last couple of days and the previous night, Lucas had suggested that she needed to take a pregnancy test, due to the dates matching up almost perfectly.

Riley heard the timer going off on her phone as she had exhaled. It was indeed time to check if the theories had matched, but she was so uncertain that it would also mean her whole life would change. Riley had picked up the first test, and then the second one, and then the third until she had reached the last of the tests showing the same results.

"Okay, wow," Riley said deeply exhaling while she tried to prevent the tears from falling.

"She had failed of course, causing the tears to stream down her face. She wiped them down as she had fallen down to the ground. She didn't want it to be true at all. For her to be pregnant at 16, nearly 17 wasn't part of her nor Lucas's plans. But they had to compromise. They were going to have a child and there was nothing that could change that.
