Riley looked as she and Lucas were back in Texas with his family. Although the holidays were something that Riley wanted to spend with her own family, she knew if she were to be in Texas with Thanksgiving she and Lucas could discuss the pregnancy properly before having to tell her folks.
"You glad to be back in Texas?" Riley asked as Lucas smiled and kissed her.
"Thank you. I know you're doing this for me," Lucas said as Riley smiled.
"Well I love you. I'll always love you. Can we talk privately? Away from your family," Riley said as Lucas nodded and they stepped outside of the tent.
"What's going on? Everything okay?" Lucas said as Riley took out a pregnancy test from her pocket and gave it to Lucas.
Looking at the test, Lucas looked at Riley, waiting for his reaction, as he exhaled. Biting his lip, he shoved the test in his pocket, as he pulled Riley close to him. Holding her tight, Lucas could feel both their hearts beating and knew Riley was just as scared as he was.
"It's okay. We'll make it work," Lucas said as Riley exhaled.
"How?" Riley asked.
"We will find a way. We'll find a way. I'll handle my parents later today," Lucas said as Riley exhaled.
"Some things are more difficult to do than others. Our parents are going to kill us. I'm 17, you're 18. They will never allow any of it," Riley said.
"I already have a part time job at one of the mechanic workshops in New York. You are working at the cafe whenever you can. If they don't support us, we'll find our own way into this. Don't worry about it," Lucas said.
