As rare as it was for Youngmin, his feet were clad in filthied sneakers - perhaps a sign of Seungtak's influence on him but he digressed - as he hurriedly flicked his bangs back into place from the windswept look he'd acquired since walking the last bit of road from where the taxi had dropped him off. He was somewhat trembling with nerves and eagerness as he looked up at the facade of the extravagant home he'd grown quite familiar with over recent months, both because of Seungtak waiting inside and because he knew it would be just them that day - and maybe some cleaning staff, but still.
He did his best to strut casually and pridefully to the intercom by the gate, as though anyone were watching him at all, and paused for a mere split second to reign in his jitters before pressing the main button. It beeped and he waited, adjusting the fuzzy maroon sweater he wore - a gift from Tak - and his hair a final time after which he rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet.
With an increase in road accidents and building site mishaps recently they'd both been too busy to properly spend time together and enjoy one another, weeks of scant rest and strained smiles taking their toll on them. Today marked their first date and off day in a long while. Youngmin had been counting down the hours until he could go back to meeting the guy who set his head in the clouds, spend lazy mornings watching variety TV with him or playing with Mandu, taking pictures of pretty sights when going on walks or visiting romantic spots.
When the intercom beeped again, white noise fizzling through, his head snapped up in alert.
"Who is it?"
It was clearly Tak on the other side and Youngmin rolled his eyes, barely fighting off his smile.
"You have the camera pointed at me, you can see me," He responded faux snappily, the hint of amusement in his voice noticeable.
A static hum, "Well it's not working right now so please state your name and business, Sir."
With a theatrical huff and an even bigger roll of his eyes, Youngmin surrendered to Tak's game and straightened his posture before bowing.
"Good afternoon," He politely began, tone professional as though at a business meeting, "I'm Professor Cha Youngmin, here on official work duties tied to one Go Seungtak."
"Oh?" Came said male's befuddled gasp, "I don't think he mentioned a professor coming over. Are you sure that's who you are?"
Under any other circumstance Youngmin would think of praising Tak on his relatively believable acting, but instead he kept his opinion to himself, a slight blush of pink crawling up his neck and to his ears.
"You're right," He conceded, voice ever so mildly softer, "Today I'm here as Youngmin to see my very intelligent, very handsome and incredibly precious boyfriend Seungtak."
Again there came such a drawn out silence over the intercom that Youngmin almost worried he'd misspoken or somehow offended the other, and he was just about to apologise when there finally arrived a reply in the shade of a grumble.
"You're as cheesy as always."
Before Youngmin could let himself fully fall at ease, a relieved snort pushing out of him, the gate groaned open, somewhat majestically, and once he lowered his sight from where he'd been watching the clean metal's highest points gradually part it was to see Seungtak jogging towards him, a smile so sweet and hair so ruffled that Youngmin couldn't help but mentally compare the man to a golden retriever.
"Min-ah!" With an overly zealous yell, Seungtak flung himself around his partially prepared partner, limbs coiling around the taller male in an iron lock. The younger nuzzled the other's neck, cheeks squishing up with his glowing smile that could outshine the morning's sun. Recollecting himself, Youngmin chortled and quickly reciprocated Seungtak's hug, happy to hold him again after their brief time apart.
