need a bit of help?

  The slam of a door awoke a young kranken, jolting off his bed with a thud.

  "Get your damn shit, [redacted]! Your mom is waiting!"

  Yeah, thats my dad, Bob Kranken. Basic name, right? Thought that since I was a kid.

  "Alright, alright! Gimme a sec.." Felix yelled back, half ignoring his father, and snuggling deeper into bed.

  This sucks, man. I hate my dad. He doesn't even call me by the right name, even though he's known longer than anyone else.

  His father slammed his door shut, and Felix thought he'd broken the door. Luckily, the door was fine on the outside.. for now.

  He groggily sat up, and rubbed his eyes. He's moving into collage today, and he's not sure how to feel. He's nervous, and he doesn't even want to go, but if he wants his dream job.. he's gotta deal with it.

  Silvermont is actually a good school, good history, good avarage, I just hate school. I hate math. I hate all of it.. except for space.

  Silvermont Collage was big. Its the top collage in the states, and it holds over 5,000 students.. and Felix wasn't sure if he was excited or horrified.

  I just hope I pass.

  Walking through the doors, he was greeted by a small, cozy space, and two grand staircases. He's been here plenty of times but he doesn't remember it like this.

  "Hi! Can I help you?" A kind voice called, he assumed an office attendant.

  "Oh, Um.. Yeah, can you direct me towards orientation?" He asked shyly, hoping he didn't miss it. Then again, he wasn't planning on going, or staying for long. He'd just watch the replay later.

  "Yes, yes! Orientation rooms are just up the stairs and to the right, whats your full name and major? I'll give you your paper schedule and keys to your dorm." The lady replied, not noticing Felix's shyness.

  "Oh, I'm Felix Kranken. I'm a astronomy major." He mumbled, and she quickly repeated that into the computer.

  "Ah yes! Welcome to Silvermont, Felix!" She smiled. "Here are your keys to your dorm, your number is room 578. Its the second building, on the top floor." She informed him, to which he thanked her and went on his way.

  I'm not excited for dorms, actually- I asked my dad to not get me a dorm.. but he did anyway. Maybe I should try reverse psychology on him. Haha.

  Pulling up some music and popping his headphones in, he slowly shuffled to the second dorm building. In total, there were 3 dorm buildings- each building containing 500 dorms, and up to three people per dorm.. so many people.

  As if he teleported, he already arrived to the building- now he has to figure out how to get to said dorm-room.

  Making his way through the entrance, he located a set of elevators and stairs, and a map. Perfect.

  A quick scan over the map and he knew where he was going- with a straight view, he hopped onto the elevator and pushed floor 4 with confidence. Top floor. Room 578. He's got this.

  With a ding, the elevator door opened and before he could blink about 10 students were shoving past him and pushing him out of the elevator.

  "Move on, new kid!" One of them shouted. He thought kids calling new students "new kid" only happened in movies. And there are so many students here.. how did they know he was new?

  "Aughhh!!! Cmon! Open! Stupid door, I said open!! Cmonn.. Pleasee man!"

  Someone was whining aways down the hall, and by the sound of it they were struggling.

  He sighed.

  At least its coming from the way my room is. I already want to die.

  "Umm.. need a bit of help..?" He asked quietly, trying to refrain from giggling- said person was struggling rather hard.

  "Oh! Yes please oh my gosh.. I can't get my door to open I think its-" Before the person could finish, Felix jammed his upper arm into the door- pushing through with a minor shove.

  "I-Wh- How! How! I did that! I even tried to see if i had to pick the lock! How did you know? HOW DID YOU DO THAT??" They cried.

  Felix gulped. "I uhh.. all doors have a weak spot thats best to run into if its jammed.. the center. But.. don't do it if you don't wanna risk a door being broken." He ended with a chuckle, to which the other giggled a bit too.

  Oh my fucking god you guys.

  "Oh.. do you know where room 578 is?" He quickly added.

  "Yer' lookin' at it! WAIT! You're not my dorm-mates are you? AWW NOO! I wanted to surprise you!" The other frowned.

  No. Way.

  "Oh..! I guess I am." Felix smiled. "Whats your name, by the way?" He asked.

  "Jack! Jack Walten, how 'bout you?" Jack smiled.

  "I'm... Felix. Felix Kranken."

  "Well, Felix Kranken! Wanna discuss who's side is who's?" Jack asked loudly.

  "Sure." Felix gave a soft smile.
