Horrible. That's how I feel right now. It's the first day of high school and I have to walk to school in the pouring rain! Of course my mom had to go to work early! To top that off its 45 minutes away from Westfield High and I'm walking alone because my best friend, Hayley Faye, started hanging out with the "popular" group at the end of grade 8 and told me that we weren't friends anymore. I'm going to be the biggest loser in Westfield High! I have no friends and guess what! I don't even have a phone! Ever since my dad died in that stupid car accident my mom has been locked in her room. I've thought about going to live at my grandmas but her house is too small for all of us to come (my twin sisters are only 5 and my brother is 10!!). Well I'm here... Westfield High. Time to start my adventure of torture.

When I walk in I see tons of people! Then I see him, Markus Dinge, the cutest boy in the world, my crush. He will never like me, it's stupid of me to even dream. I start to walk to the office to get my schedule when Hayley Faye, Hannah Marks, Jordan Curtile and the worst one of all... Madelyn Fushai walk past me. When Madelyn Fushai passes me she shoves me and I tumble right into the trash can, and the next thing I realize is Markus Dinge and his best friend Riley Curt walking towards me! Oh no! I try to get out but I'm stuck and now everybody has seen me and they are all laughing. When Markus and Riley get to me they help me out of the garbage can. "Are you okay?" Markus asks. "Yeah I'm fine, thanks" I lie. My back is killing! They walk away and I'm left just standing there like a loser. At least everyone has stopped laughing.When I get to the office they hand me my schedule and my school supplies list. I almost faint when I see the supplies list! There is so much stuff my mom barely works and we never have any food, how am I gonna afford this? I've been buying my own stuff lately and my brother and sisters stuff. I have a job at McDonald's and I do the paper route. It is like $80 worth of school supplies and it says I need it all! I need to find a way to get it or else people will think I'm poor, which I am but I don't want anyone knowing! Then I remembered my brother and sisters will be bring their supplies list home today! I need mine by tomorrow!
