The Fumes

The Panther climbed up the invisible ladder, Buck latching onto their back. ' T-this is what its like to have a pup on your back? ' They huffed. ' Just a lot less heavy! ' She chuckled, ' This is what i mean by you have soft fur! ' The buck would laugh. ' Stop.. saying that.. ' The Panther would obviously be flustered, but hid that. ' Okay then, we're almost there! ' The buck said, looking up. The Panther grabbed the ledge, and pulled buck and themself up. ' Finally. You're heavy. ' The panther said, showing signs of not enjoying that. ' But atleast you didnt fall back down like usual. ' The panther smiled. ' Nightcrawler? ' The buck yelled, and noticed a black and purple figure. ' Oh, you didn't try to escape! Again! ' The panther said, angrily. 

 'Rrrgh.. did you get me anything to eat? ' The nightcrawler growled, the two approached closer. Shoot, The buck thought. ' No sir.. sorry. ' The buck said, embarrassed. The panther didnt answer, but their ears would slowly move backwards.  ' Neither of you are of use. How foolish of you to forget that of all things! ' The nightcrawler yelled. The nightcrawler got up, and used all of his strength to walk torwards them. He hissed, and hit buck. ' Owww!! ' She yowled, on the ground. ' HEY! T-thats my partner in crime! ' The panther would growl, and pounce on the nightcrawler. ' You can't just do that! You'll PAY! ' The panther said, lashing a claw across the nightcrawlers face. ' How.. dare.. ' the nightcrawler said. The panther was fuming, and grabbed the nightcrawlers goggles, ripping them off. ' You dont need THESE! ' They said, smashing them. ' H-how.. ' The nightcrawler said, before falling unconsious.

' That.. was so cool! ' Buck said. ' Thank you so much! ' She was overjoyed. She got back up and kissed panther, before diving into their fur. ' Fluffy!! ' she said, her voice muffled. The panther didn't know how to act, but they hugged her. ' You'd give great bear hugs. ' She joked. ' You aren't wrong. ' The panther smiled. Catte walked in while they were hugging eachother. ' Hi, lovebugs. ' She would say, dry blood on her fur. ' Oh- uh- hi, catte! ' The buck said, face still in panthers fur. ' Yea, hi. ' The panther said, waving with their tail. ' Why is the nightcrawler knocked out? ' She would point to the unconsious nightcrawler. ' .. Ugh, loong story. ' The panther groaned.

Meanwhile, the toxic rabbit would stare at the figs. ' I'll be heading somewhere else now. ' The figs said, heading to the snowy garden. ' Byebye! ' She yelled.  The toxic rabbit sighed, and walked out of the garden. They decided to check the elevator for anyone. ' Hey, anyone here? ' She said. ' Yea, right here. ' A voice would be coming from the broken elevator. It was the carneline, from before. ' The panther almost got to me while i was scavenging, but i got away. ' the carneline said, her voice raspy and her eyes showing tiredness. ' I really just wan' doze off.. ' She continued. ' Yea, me too. But we gotta keep running. ' The toxic rabbit said, sitting down near the carneline. ' Just keep running.. '

The two slimehounds talked in the bathroom, but then they heard someone putting their paws on the door. ' W-whos there? ' Lime asks. ' Arrrrr.. ' The voice would say. The door opened, and a feizao dropped on the floor, dead. The two slimehounds were in a stall, hiding. ' Nobody here. I'm too burned out to look in the stalls.. you're lucky. ' The panther growled, stomping away. A chunk of the feizao was taken away. Oddly, the body was dragged away and the door closed again. ' I'm coming! I'm coming! ' Another voice said, in a hurry.  ' Weird. ' They both said, looking at eachother.

The lang was walking around, deciding if she wanted to go up. Although she came to find Toxic Rabbit, she was curious. She didn't realise it, but she stepped into a shadow. In a blink of an eye, the vial fell on her and crashed on her head. She gasped for air. ' What- who- why- ' She repeated. She shook her head, and got up. ' Better go up there while i still can. ' She said, knowing exactly what she was here to do. She climbed up the invisible ladder, holding on for dear life. She grabbed the ledge and  pulled herself up, to the library. 

She walked torwards the nightcrawler in the library. ' Wake up! Wake up! ' She said. ' Meh.. ' The nightcrawler responded. ' You alright? ' The lang asked. ' That pesky panther..  ' He said, touching their own face. The scar looked brand new. ' They'll p-pay. ' The nightcrawler hissed. ' Wha- Your goggles are broken. ' The lang said, looking at the shattered goggles. ' Hold on. ' She said, grabbing the goggles. She fixed them, but it looked weaker than before. ' It's a start. ' He said, sighing. 

' Yea, i'm not the best at fixing things.. but i always carry human things in my tail, its fun! ' She laughed. The nightcrawler coughed.  ' Oh- you're that lang. ' He said, being able to see better with his goggles. ' Well, i could help you get back to full health. ' She said, chuckling. ' Yea.. yea. Thats fine. ' The nightcrawler said, tiredness swarming him. The lang noticed the goo spilled. ' Jeez, that sure was a fight. ' She said, before turning. ' I need to go. Don't wanna get caught. ' She said, before exiting the library.
