"What do you mean you have everything planned out!?" I screamed at her, my arms flying up into the air. How could she say that? How could she say she had everything all nicely planned out for my future? I won't have a future if this continues.
"Would you just calm down-" She started, but I immediately cut her off.
"Calm down? Calm down! I'm nineteen mother. Nineteen! I'm old enough to make my own decisions, and not have you breathing down my neck, telling me how to live my life!" There was a sliver of guilt in me, only because I didn't like to yell. And that's exactly what I was doing right now.
"Olivia please!" My mother raised her voice for the first time since this started, and it took me by surprise for a moment. "No. You don't understand right now, but when the time is right you will. I'm done with this conversation." With that, she simply turned on her heel walking away from me. I stood there in utter silence, my mouth gaping open, until I clenched my fists and stormed down the stairs to my half empty bedroom.
Grabbing a bag from my closet I quickly shoved a pair of jeans and a shirt into it before sending a quick text to Kaley. She responded within a couple minutes and I tucked my phone into the bag as well before grabbing my keys. As quickly and as silently as I could, I slipped out the front door, started my car and drove to my best friends apartment. My mother had gone too far, and I wasn't going to let her win this time.
