CHAPTER THREE:
VISITING THE LAB
THE SUN WAS up and shining brightly on the beautiful kingdom of Wakanda and the many tribes living in the place. Animals could be seen all around in the many different tribes, the market having been very busy and full of people as the smell of food filled the air from the meat and many other things the sellers were cooking, accepting and making whatever the person on the other side of the stand wanted so they could eat.Kids could be seen all around, running around and playing together. In the Border Tribe area, the citizens in the said tribe could be seen walking around, cloaks over them as they took care of their gardening and the animals around them. The now king of Wakanda happened to be there currently with his daughter after having spent their time with Nakia in the market.
Earlier in the day, T'Challa had wanted his daughter to come with him and Nakia to the market since Nakia adored the girl just as much as Y/n adored her. Growing up, Nakia was always like the mother figure she never had, other than her grandmother who tried to help her as much as she could.
During their trip to the market, after speaking with Nakia after a while, the two girls had walked around and happily spoke, all while T'Challa had watched them with a small smile, his eyes widening as he tried to deny whenever they joked something about him and he'd comment things.
Now, with the Border Tribe, the princess and king found themselves staring a large, yet beautiful rhino in a makeshift wooden stable. After spending their time with Nakia, T'Challa had wanted to visit the man he considered his best friend, W'Kabi. For as long as she could remember, W'Kabi was always like an uncle to Y/n from how close he and her father were. He would always let her help him with the animals and feed them whenever her and T'Challa visited, which was what they were doing now.
W'Kabi held Y/n's smaller hand near his as he led her hand to the rhino, a red apple in her palm as the animal took the food in it's mouth. As W'Kabi chuckled, patting her shoulder and even ruffling her hair a bit, some little boys ran up to the princess and asked if she wanted to play the game they were playing.
Nodding in reply with a smile, not being able to say no to their puppy dog eyes, she let the boys grab her hands as they ran just a bit away but still in T'Challa and W'Kabi's sight as the princess joined them in the small game they were playing, which happened to be hide and seek, none of them noticing the two men watching with smiles.
Every single child in Wakanda adored the princess and whenever she was near and was free for the time, they'd always ask if she could join them on their games and even ask for her to tell them a story, considering in their opinion, she told the best stories.
Crouching beside the children that was now of boys and girls, Y/n listened to them with a smile before one of them covered their eyes and began counting, and all the kids were off as some girls grabbed Y/n's hands and brought her with them. Seconds and seconds went by and the boy that had been counting began to look in the area they were playing hide and seek in, running in a different direction than where the princess was hiding.
