sunsetz~ a spencer reid love story

~part 2~

Spencers POV 

We arrive in Chicago, Illinois, and I and Gideon make our way to the police station to see what kind of lead they have in the case so we the bau can take over the case and move forward. 

"what do you guys got?" Gideon asks

"We have a white male in his 30s or 40s, lives in the area. We have had several bodies found in an ally way, we think he is connected to them all." officer mark states

*phone rings I answer*

"what's up, Garcia?" I ask as I put the phone on speaker

"it seems the unsub has a very traumatic past which might have caused these killings he has been making, his mom was murdered by his dad in front of him, strangled at the age of 8" Garcia states

"so it might be some mental trauma, "I say as Garcia cuts him off

"yeah but that's not all, after his mom was killed, his dad was arrested so he moved in with his aunt at the age of 8 and his aunt abused him, his aunt's husband even sexually assaulted him while his aunt watched at he suffered and cried for it to stop." Garcia states

"well that's a traumatic past and explains why he's doing this to these girls, he wants to make himself feel better and like he's not the only person going threw this. It's his way of letting his trauma go." I say in a concerned tone

"thanks Garcia" I say as I hang up the phone

"so he is making other people feel the way he felt" Gideon says

"yeah but not only is he making other people feel the way he felt, its a pleasure to him, its how he gets his high really." I says more concerned

Me and Gideon head over to the scene to tell hotch, morgan, and JJ what Garcia had told me and Gideon. They are shocked by what we found out. 

"I think its time we go to the address we have," Derek says

"let's go," hotch says as walking toward the car. 

We head over to the house the unsub is staying at, with the cops too. 

"FBI OPEN UP" Derek shouts outside the door

nobody opens the door, Derek breaks the door down. We all search the house and he's not seen at all. I notice a door to the basement. We open the door slowly, we go down to see him laying on the door with a gun in his hand and a gunshot to his head. we all drop our guns in dispare seeing the unsub dead knowing we could have helped him. 

*2 days later*

I called Maeve to talk for a little bit, she told me she has a stalker and that she's scared that something is going to happen to her. 

I go to work and I finally tell the team what's going on

"uh guys can I tell you guys something?" I say nervously 

"What's up kid?" Derek says 

"so uh, there's this girl, a girl I like, possibly love," I say getting cut off

"Woah little pretty girl has a special girl, I knew it, is she pretty and kind?" Derek says cutting me off

"well uh, I never actually met her, we just talk over the phone, we have the same interest in things, and I don't need to see her to know how beautiful she is, but yes she is kind, but that's not the problem," I say

"so what's the problem?" JJ asks

"she has a stalker, and I think we should investigate," I say knowing hotch will say no

"Reid, you know we can't just make a case like this, it's not something we do," hotch says

"yeah, right," I say making a disappointed face and putting my head down

I go to walk away and hotch stops me outside the door of the conference room

"look Reid, ill think about what you say, if anything gets out of hand we will pick up the case and help her," hotch says

"yeah, thanks," I say with a slight smirk and walk away. JJ stops me 

"hey Reid, you wanna go get dinner and watch the sunset with me to help get stuff off your mind?" JJ asks

"thanks for the offer but maybe another time, I kinda wanna go home and read and write to maeve tonight," I say. 

"get home safe, ill see you tomorrow ok?" jj says with a smile 

i just nod my head and give her a slight smile as i walk away.
