World of Writer

City of Rok [Ch3]

We leave the forest Roos and enter the City of Rok. The city was enclosed by high walls. Before entering, the guards inspected our identities with our things as I have predicted.

   "Who are you?" asked the guards. He's holding a spear and suited with armor. "What's your purpose in Rok?"

There are two guards that's inspecting us. The one with our identities and the one with our things.

   "We're young couple and we decided to be a citizen of this city," I answered. Of course, it's a lie. We can't tell that we're writers. "We decided to leave our homeland and to live independently in Rok."

   "Give us proof that you're a couple."

I glanced to Labfeywey. She's nervous. I grabbed her hand to ease her nervousness. She's sweating and her hand get sticky.

While grabbing her hand, we raised our hands and displayed our rings. The rings are just made of dried, flowers' stems. The ring get more realistic with the help of a golden dye that we made from golden flowers. Luckily, Labfeywey has a keen talent in copying things.

It's seems that the guards are not satisfied with the fake rings.

   "You said that you're a young couple. How about a kiss? Kiss each other."

   "Kiss!?" exclaimed Labfeywey.

Because of that, the guards are getting suspicious toward us. Oh no! What will I do now?

   "What's the matter with that? You're a couple right? Kissing is common between couples."explained the guard.
   

I felt Labfeywey gripped my hand. The next thing that she will do really surprise me. She grabbed my neck with her other hand and kissed me. I was caught off guard.

I was stunned for a second. She stole my first kiss. Ever since, I never kiss someone. So she's my first kiss. Thinking about that makes me sweaty.

After kissing, Labfeywey's face turned red. She looks embarrassed. But with it we can enter the city. Thank you very much Labfeywey. I'm thankful because she's helping me. She was a big help for me.

Gladly, the guards permitted us and entering Rok was successful.

Since this is not earth, I expected that the citizens in the Rok will be aliens, but they're not. They are human beings and ack like humans.
   

Labfeywey suspected that this city came from another writer just like her Forest Guardian.

In the road, I saw many different kinds of stuffs. There are traders of potions and sellers of items. There are more people that buy foods like fruits and meats.

There's no sound of vehicles but the noise of the rolling wheels. It tells that the author of this city loves ancient settings and with fantasy genre.

The problem right now is we don't have money.

   "Labfeywey, do you have money?"

    "Sorry, but I don't have."

    " Please show me what we have."

    " I suggested that we can talk about this inside that bar." said Labfeywey while pointing the bar in my back.

We leave the road and enter a bar. I quickly glance a vacant table with two available seats.

It's quiet inside. Did the writer of this city forgot to put the bartender? There's no one inside. But the wines and glasses are here.

This World of Writers is great. In this world, the chosen writers can meet their imagery characters, can go to their fantastic worlds, or maybe inherit the powers they fanaticized.

I begin to love World of Writers despite how dangerous it is. If I meet Veronica in this world, how will I greet her?

     "Hey, MisterNeo!"

Thinking about Veronica, makes me to forget things.

    "I'm sorry, I just remembered someone back in earth?" I said.

    "Honestly, I'm longing to see mom and dad,"said Labfeywey.

I know what she feels. It been two days since we got here and we don't know if we can still go back.

   "I hope they are in good shape," said Labfeywey.

After pressing her badge with two fingers, Labfeywey place the things we have in the table. We only have handful of items.

Our badges can store hundred of items despite it's sizes. I learned this from Labfeywey. She learned it from a small boy like Ghost. Labfeywey said that we must call them the instructors. But I still  call her Ghost.

   "Perhaps we can sell one of the unbreakable items and get money." I suggested.

   "What we're going to buy?"

   "In this kind of world, we need a chariot." I answered.

   "Don't we need weapons?"asked Labfeywey.

   "We also need that but with our current status we can't even lift an average sword. For now, I suggested that we must avoid fightings and get all the information we can get around this world."

    Labfeywey nodded.

It's my turn to show what I have. I pressed my badge with my index and middle fingers.

Labfeywey's eyes widen. I also got surprise. I didn't know that I have this all time.

A bag appeared in the table. I quickly unfasten it. Glowing coins was in the bag. Then a screen flashed in the side of the bag.

I close the information screen and pickup a coin. It's beautiful. It's golden and shines.

I grab several golds and give it to Labfeywey.

   "Why are you giving this to me?" she asked.

    "It's a gift." I answered.

    "Thank you."
