Chapter One: Summer's done

Y/n's pov
It was the first day of my senior year at Hawkins high. I had heard rumours on the street that there was a new student from California. I walked in the building seeing some familiar faces when the principle pulled me to the side and told me to go to his office.

I sat in one of the chairs in his office scarred I was in trouble on the first day back. I was overthinking when a really hot dude walked in he didn't look familiar to me. The principle walked in and sat at his desk looked at both of us and said "y/n this is the new student Billy I want you to give him a tour around the school" I said "yes sir. What's his schedule?" He handed me a paper and i compared it to my schedule I got at open house. Billy had the same classes as me...great but he was eye candy so I guess it's fine.

We left the principles office and I started the tour. "This is the gym and there's the cafeteria" Billy said "I'd like to have you for lunch" I just ignored it and continued until we had to get to class. We walked into Mr. Murray's class he said "you two are late" I said "I was giving him a tour of the school Sir" he nodded in understanding and the only empty seats was beside each other in the back left corner. And they were permanent. Great. Just. Great.

He kept bugging me I said "I get you're new and this is 'exciting' but shut the fuck up" he smirked and said "so demanding" but shut his mouth. I have made top of my class three years so far I'm not losing my good grades to a hot blabber mouth.

I had gym next and so did Billy. I participated to get them A's. Billy tried to challenge me at basket ball but little does he know I'm great at it. Better than most boys. He tried to take the ball from me and I distracted him and made him fall and made the goal. I went to help him up and said "be careful pretty boy" he smirked and said "I don't think I will tomboy" I smirked and dropped him instead of helping him up. Winked and walked off.

I was talking about how he sucked he said "do you ever stop talking" I said "you insecure coach is gonna put you on the bench since I'm better" he looked a litte agitated. I got him where I wanted him but he kept moving so i passed the ball through his legs shot and made it.

He chose to sit next to me this time and he's getting on my nerves. It was the last class of the day and I couldn't be more happy.

I got my books in my bag and walked towards my truck and who do I see right next to the truck Billy leaning on his I just ignore him. I unlock my door and throw my bag in the passenger seat and crank the truck it's a 1977 red ford truck it's fun to drive and runs like a dream.

He said "nice ride y/l/n (your last name)
I said "same to you Billy. 79 camaro?" He nodded and said "you know your cars. 77 ford?" I nodded and said "my sister is taking to long in there" he said "my step sister is".

We had something in common slow sisters I said "there's something we have in common" he said "what would that be doll?" "We both have slow sisters" we shared a laugh and I saw max I knew her bc they played d&d in the basement I said "hey Max hey dingus" me and Sally Mae laughed I said "took you long enough though I might have to send you with Max" we laughed and Max said "Billy can I go with y/n and Mae?" He said "I guess" I said "I'll bring her home" he nodded and walked to his car.

The girls got in the truck i said "wanna go get food?" They nodded and i said "ok Max play a song you know exactly what song" she played master of puppets we were singing along and made it to the restaurant. We ordered our food and pulled up to the next window to pay we got our food and we went to the park I got a salad Max got a cheese burger and fries and Mae got a corn dog we started eating.

We walked around the park and me and the girls played on the monkey bars and swings. I seen a familiar car pull up but I didn't care Billy got out walked over to us and said "bunch of youngins" I said "yes indeed wanna be a kid again child?" He said "why not" he was hanging upside down on the monkey bars.

We got done being stupid and max went home and so did Mae and I. When we got home mom had dinner on the table and dad was helping.

(After y'all ate)

I went and got in the shower thinking about Billy his eyes his hair his body but he wouldn't like me like that. I got out and put on my light pink nightly on and started dozing off. I heard a knock on my window it was Max she said "I made Billy drop me off" I said "now he knows where I live" she nodded and said "im staying the night tho is that ok?" I nodded and said "want me to get Mae?" "If she's awake" I went to Mae's room to find her passed out.

I walked back to my room and said "she's passed out" we made loom bracelets and just had fun Mae walked in and said "when did you get here?" I said "when did you wake up?" We giggled and had all kinds of fun til it was 11 at night I said "I think we need to go to sleep" they agreed and we piled in my bed and passed out.

The alarm clock made us all groan from not wanting to go to school. We got ready. Max went out my window while me and Mae took 3 eggos (toaster waffles) we met max at the truck and gave her an eggo. When we made it to school I seen Billy smoking at his car I said "hey Billy" he said "hey" and we continued with going into the building today was going to be fun.

Hey Alec here I haven't wrote in a while but hey I cried over Billy dying so I done this I still cry about it and its been a few days since I seen the death anyway enjoy the story I'll probably update tonight or tomorrow 👋 bye
