Chapter 5

me and robin wake up to the phone ringing. i rub my eyes and get up. I walk to the phone and pick it up. I can feel robins stare. "You said my name was billy." he says. "billy showwalton.." i reply "dont call me that. I don't remember it and im not like him anymore." "Then what do you remember as?" I ask him. i hear a bottle fall. me and robin look at it. "I told you, it was paperboy." "okay paperboy." I reply "You see the wall infront of you?" I hear the voice say. "uhm yeah?" me and robin look at that wall. I guess robin could hear the phone. "You see the wall separate from the floor?"Paperboy asks me again. "mhm." "Theres a long cable from down there, i kept it hidden." Paperboy says. "What am i suppose to do with that?" I ask The bottle starts spinning. i look at the bottle then at robin. the bottle stops. we look at what it was pointing at. "The window." I hear robin say as he gets up. "hello-? paperboy?" I ask to see if hes still there. but i dont hear anyone reply. i put the phone and look at robin. "we tie it to the metal?" He asks me. "Yeah." I say. robin walks to the wall paperboy was talking about and he bends down pulling the cable up. he walks to me and he tries to push it through the metal bars. "Shit!, i cant." He says "Wait, i have an idea!" I smile slightly at him and run to the bathroom. i grab a green carpet and walk to robin. I put the carpet against the wall. I can feel robins stare. It gave me butterflies. i smile slightly. I grab the rope and put it through the carpet. "tell me when you see the end of the rope." I tell robin as i keep pushing the rope. robin nods. i keep pushing the rope up until i hear his voice "there" he smiles the rope ties through the metal bars. i put the carpet away. I grab onto the rope and i try climbing but it was too slippery. I grunt softly. "Tie the rope and try putting your foot through like a step stool basically." He says i look at him and nod. i tie the rope and put my leg through it and try. But then the metal bar falls including me. I grunt. robin looks at me and helps me up. "You okay?" He asks "yeah, im fine." I look up and the window and sigh groaning and sit down on my knees. "We cant give up yet. we just cant." Robin sits down next to me and wraps his arm around me. I smile, i really liked robin. he was always nice to me. on the outside hes really strong and stuff. but on the inside hes just so kind. "im gonna go work on the hole." Robin tells me "ill come." I reply. we both get up and walk to the hallway i walk to the hole and go inside. I start digging. I give the dirt to robin as he gets up and walks to the toilet just flushing it. we keep doing that until eventually we get really tired. Robin helps me up. we walk to the mattress and sit down. we see the lights turn on. I look at robin. we make eye contact and we lay'd down and acted asleep. The door slowly opens as the grabber walks downstairs. He stops and inhales holding the food and looking at us. we could both feel his stare. it sent shivers down my spine. "I know you guys aren't sleeping." we hear the grabber say. i open my eyes and sit up. robin looks at me and does the same. "im starving." I say with a emotionless face. "what are your guys name?" He asks "why do you care." Robin asks him "i dont, just answer the question." He says "Uh-uhm my names Leslie, Leslie Valentine." I answer The grabber inhales. "my names alex." Robin tells him. the grabber drops the plates making the glass break. I jump a bit. "I was starting to like you guys, sage and robin. *he throws us some papers* i look at him. "I was thinking about letting you guys go."he grabber says as me and walks out closing the door. "shit.." robin says i groan as i lean my head back.
