Outing

Aphmau POV

I open my eyes and yawn. I get off of the bed and once again realize I'm in Zane's bed. Where did he sleep? My brain wanders off. I look around and see a neatly folded outfit on his bedside table. They're my clothes. I grab the clothes and walk off to the bathroom. I change into the outfit, it's my favorite one. I open the door and see Zane on the couch; he's still asleep. I walk down the stairs and go up to the couch. "Idiot," I mumble under my breath. I shake Zane a bit, progressively getting more violent as time goes on. Eventually, a small mutter is said. "Not now, Kaitlyn." I can't help but laugh. "I'm not Kaitlyn," I respond, laughing. His eye opens and a bit of shock appears. "Oh- Oh! Aphmau! Hi!" Zane says, nervously sitting up. "Why are you sleeping on the couch? I could have!" I insist, he shakes his head. "You're my guest, sleeping on the couch would just be rude of me, now let me get dressed, we're going somewhere today," Zane says, I nod.

After he gets dressed we make our way outside. Everyone's cars are parked out front. The car that the boys share, the boys being Travis, Dante, Laurence, and Garroth. And Kaitlyn and KC's car. I smile when I see their faces. "We're going to the theme park today! Everything's on me!" Zane says, I smile. "The theme park!? I love it there!" I say excitedly. Zane laughs. "I know Aph, so let's go! You're riding with me!" I nod and follow Zane to his car. Once we get in I realize "isn't the nearest theme park an hour away?" I ask, Zane nods. "That's why I set up a group call for this ride, we'll play games while we're driving," Zane says, I smile. "Okay!" I smile. "Kiss Marry Kill?" Kaitlyn says over the phone. "Sure!" I respond. Everyone else agrees. "Aphmau first, Travis, Garroth, Laurence," I gasp as if it's a horrible idea. "Marry Garroth Kiss Laurence Kill Travis," Zane laughs. "The way you had NO hesitation," Kaitlyn says. "WOW." Travis says. "I feel SO offended."

An Hour Later

We park and get out of our cars. We stand in line and talk for a bit, when it gets to our turn, Zane pays and we all go in. I see my FAVORITE ride. "WE HAVE TO RIDE THAT ONE!" I say, Kaitlyn smiles. "Wow, Aph, I didn't take you as the extreme type." I look down confused. "I'm not? Huh?" I look at the other rides and realize my favorite ride is the biggest one there. I laugh sheepishly. "Oh! Haha," I look away. "Well? Let's go!" Kaitlyn insists, pulling me forward. A laugh escapes me as she drags basically everyone to the rollercoaster line. As we wait, I fake yawn. "I'm so tired I might just..!" I fake collapse. "Die!" I say, about to pull myself up when Zane pulls me up. A heat comes onto my face. "Wow-! Thanks," I say, Zane nods. "Yeah, well, you know,"

After we've ridden most of the rides we finally go onto the ferris wheel. My favorite romantic ride. Me and Zane get in a cart together. The wheel spins. I guess I forget about my fear of heights on this ride. I look at Zane who's looking out the window and smile, I never really took time to appreciate how he looks, if I wasn't still dwelling on Aaron I'd probably fall for them; Blue eyes, pale skin, black hair. I honestly wonder what he looks like under that mask, I might be weird seeing him without it though. Regardless, that's not what I was talking about, mentally anyways, I was saying— "Uh, Aph?" His words startle me. I look at his eye. "Huh?" I say confused. "Why were you starring at my mask?" He asks, he noticed? Oh no. No, no, no. "It's really nothing I-," I get cut off. "You can tell me, I don't mind," Zane says. I shake my head. "Just wondering what you would look like without it," I say sheepishly. "That's it?" He questions, I nod.

He pulls down his mask.

I lean in to get a better view, some how he's cuter. Freckles, I love freckles. Upon examining his face the cart stops and we're at the top. I look out to the view, then back at Zane. We both lean in closer and closer, our face is probably an inch apart at most. Looking back at his lips, then his eye. I lean in closer without another thought and we kiss. It feels so good, I never would have thought he was such a good kisser. Our eyes are closed as we go deeper into the kiss, his hand around my waist, my hand on his thigh. After a second, we both pull away. "I'm so sorry Aph I-," I shake my head. "It's alright, I don't mind, it's just give me a bit to think, I mean, I just broke up with Aaron, it would be so weird if I just got with someone else the next day!" I respond, Zane nods and pulls up his mask.

After the ride, we awkwardly step out of the cart and we avoid eye contact. "That was fun," Kaitlyn says, looks at Travis, then back to me. "Ish." Travis puts a hand over his chest in shock. "What do you mean ish!?" Travis says, jokingly. I laugh at the two's immaturity and Zane does too. We look at each other and I feel heat coming onto my face. I shake my head and we all head back to the parking lot and me and Zane get into the car. I look out the window trying to avoid any possible conversations with him, avoiding him seems rude but it feels so weird talking to him, my best friend, after we had a mini make out session in the ferris wheel.

We didn't talk for the rest of the ride home.

I get out of the car and give a half smile and wave to Zane before leaving to my house. I walk inside the house which I haven't been in for a day and see KC and Kaitlyn sitting on the couch, Kaitlyn looks back at me. "Oh! I thought you were staying at Zane's for the rest of the week?" She says, I shake my head. "Change of plans," I nervously giggle. "Something happen between you two?" I sigh and nod, Kaitlyn turns towards me. "Like what?" She asks, I sigh. "I'll tell you when I'm ready," Kaitlyn nods and I go upstairs. I open the door to my bedroom and sigh as I lay on my bed.
