MAYA & VIC'S PENTHOUSE
After the heated argument between Maya and Carina, Carina left the party, soon followed by Maya too. She was feeling too many emotions all at one once, which she thought she left behind her. She thought she had moved on as she blocked all the memories that used to remind her of Carina. Even her name was not allowed to be taken infront of her. Because of their divorce Vic and Jack too had to cut all the communications with Carina, after all Maya left them with no choice. It was either her or Carina.
Maya was drunk but after the huge fight, she was more awake than before. She drove towards her penthouse, leaving Vic behind at party she knew Vic will manage herself and also she didn't have it in her to listen Vic's lecture on her today's behaviour. She entered her penthouse and made bee line towards the liquor cabinet they had. She took a bottle of scotch and head towards roof. After groove's music studio, the roof of her penthouse was her safe place for last eight years.
Maya sat at the edge of the roof hanging her legs over it, she liked it here, watching over the city from the above, without any noise or disturbance. Alone in her thoughts and memories. She took a swig of scotch directly from the bottle, and felt the burning sensation of it in her throat. A tear rolled down from her eyes but she was not sad, she was angry. Angry at Ben for hiring carina, at her dad for not loving her for who she was, at her mom to be not able to leave her husband, at carina for leaving her for money but mostly she was angry with herself for loving carina so much that even after 8 years she was able to hurt her. She sat there whole night getting drunk, crying, shouting one after the other to get Carina's memories out of her head.
CARINA'S RESIDENCE
It was late according to Carina's usual time. She was never to go to late night parties and getting wasted there. She was introduced to this night life by Maya and her friends when they used to date in college. Maya often used to tease Carina by saying that she is allergic to fun. When she entered in her house, she thought and wished everyone would already be sleeping as she didn't want anyone to see her in this condition, but she was wrong.
Lucia, her mother was already waiting for her on sofa. Carina tried to take shortest distance between the entrance and her room but she stood up and stopped her in between. "You don't have to hide from me carina, you can't. I can tell you were crying and I understand how hard it would have been for you to see her in person after so many years. And I know you must have stand strong infront of everyone but this is your home, you don't have to look strong here, you can cry, shout and fall apart and I will be here for you. After everything you have done for our family you are allowed to have this moment for yourself." Lucia held Carina's face in her both hands and comforted her.
After listening to her mother, Carina finally break down in her mother's arms. She let out every tear she was holding on for so long. She knew at the beginning of day that this was going to hard but she didn't know that seeing Maya after 8 years could break her like this. Like Maya she didn't blocked her memory, after all how could she. Maya became famous and her songs were everywhere. Even in her own home her brother used to listen to Maya's song all day. Gabriella hated Maya but Lucia and Andrew could never hate her although Lucia knew to never mention her name. Carina slept on sofa in her mother's arms remember maya and tired after so much crying.
