A couple of hours had passed since Ben had asked Luna out to dinner at Oli's Restaurant, a restaurant located quite locally to Luna. The date was due to start in around an hour and Luna was currently applying red lipstick to her lips. She was also wearing a red dress that had a flower pattern within it and some red heels to match.

She pursed her lips to make sure that the lipstick had spread across her lips perfectly. She was trying really hard for this date, it was her first, and she couldn't afford for it to go wrong. She looked in the mirror. Was her makeup lopsided? Did her dress fit perfectly?

After a few looks in the mirror, up and down, Luna was certain that she looked alright. Was she missing anything though? She checked in the mirror again. Of course! She had forgotten about her hair. She quickly straightened her darkly coloured locks and sighed with relief. Everything was fine now. In fact, everything was perfect.

She texted Ben quickly to let him know that she was ready but to her despair, he didn't text her back. She sighed softly and paced back and forth.

A couple of hours passed and Luna was waiting at the table for Ben to arrive and soon, he did, taking a seat opposite her.

She smiled softly but Ben didn't smile back. She paused for a moment. "Wait. Is something wrong Ben?" She asked, a slight frown forming on her face.

Ben shuffled uncomfortably in his seat. "Uhm...your hair. It's too...straight."

"What do you mean?" Luna asked.

"Just... I don't like it." Ben said.

Before Luna could respond, the waiter came over asking for their orders. He spoke in English but his accent hinted that he was Spanish.

Dinner was awkward for the two. They gave each other unsettling looks and didn't talk much at all. It was certainly nothing special.

Towards the end of the night, Luna began to avoid eye contact with Ben as he was making her uncomfortable.

"Why are you being so weird, Luna?" Ben asked. "I could've chose out of hundreds of girls in the school, and yet I chose you."

That was true but as he had said, 'I chose', it had been his choice. It wasn't like Luna had forced him to be her boyfriend or anything. But one thing was for sure. Even though he was the best looking in the school, he certainly didn't have the best attitude.
