Chapter 3

Zeke looked up, shocked by the sudden voice. "Er sure?" He responded unsure of what the person wanted. As they sat down Zeke took in the way they looked. The person had short brown hair, grayish-blue eyes and was slightly taller than them.

"I'm Noah, what's your name?" They asked, a smile painting his face. Zeke was surprised by how nice the stranger was being to them. "Zeke" he replied.

Noah smiled at Zeke before she began talking about random topics. The two of them had quite a bit in common.

"So why were you sitting here crying?" Noah titled their head as she spoke. Zeke remembered everything that had happened. He held back tears as they explained the situation that happened moments beforehand. Noah sat and listened to them speaking, anger slowly burning through him. "And this is your 'best friend' correct?" He asked wanting to know if he remembered correctly. Zeke just responded with a nod.

Noah swiftly stood up, turning to face Zeke as she did so. "Well you don't need him! He's useless anyway" he said, holding out his hand. Zeke took their hand and she lifted them up off the floor. As Zeke stumbled to their feet Noah chuckled at him. "I've got to go but here's my number!" Noah said, putting a piece of paper in Zeke's hand.

Zeke opened his mouth to say bye to Noah until another voice cut him off. "Zeke!" Jasper shouted as he walked towards the two. Noah looked at them confused "who's the blondie?" He asked. "The names Jasper, anyway Zeke, I came to see if you were ok and apologise for Leyton" Jasper said. Zeke stared blankly at him before blurting out "it's fine you don't have to apologise for his actions! Plus I'm fine". Jasper sighed, relieved that his friend was ok. Noah coughed then said "I'm gonna get going bye Zeke! Text me." then ran off.

Time Skip

Zeke and Jasper had been walking around & talking for awhile. As the two approached the library Jasper turned around. "You like reading? If not the library also has computers" he smiled. Zeke looked at him slightly startled and nodded.

The two of them chose a book to read together since they liked the same one then they sat down on a beanbag in the corner. As they read Zeke got really tired and yawned. Jasper noticed them getting tired so he hugged them close and put him so he was laying on his lap. Eventually Zeke drifted off to sleep as Jasper continued reading. While playing with the others hair Jasper noticed a familiar face come through the doors of the library.

"Oh Jasper hey! Can I talk to Zeke real quick" Leyton asked as he walked over. "They're asleep, plus he wouldn't exactly want to see you of all people right now." He responded, not moving from his spot. Leyton sighed and walked over to sit at the other side of the room where he waited. Jasper just looked down at Zeke and smiled. He was happy that he was so comfortable with him after such a short amount of time. The dirty blond just kept reading the book and occasionally checking his phone.

Eventually, Zeke woke up so Jasper explained to him that Leyton wanted to talk. Zeke got up and reluctantly walked towards Leyton as Jasper read a book he'd found. After looking up and seeing Zeke, Leyton shot out of his seat with a smile painted on his face. As Zeke stopped the other boy sighed and began to speak. "I'm sorry for misgendering you Zeke it was honestly an accident." He said trying to convince them. "Leyton- sorry no. Kaidon" Zeke smiled, know that using Leyton's old name would piss him off. The other boy furiously glared at them, angered by what he'd said. "Ok then since we're playing that game I guess I can call you Lucinda then?" Leyton said just before turning and leaving the library.

Zeke happily turned to Jasper who had been too focused on his book to notice what the two of them were just talking about. "Hey Jas?" He said, trying to get the dirty blond boy's attention. Jasper's head shot up as he spoke "what'd you call me?". Embarrassed, Zeke put his head down and spoke, "that doesn't matter! Anyway I think I'm going to go home before my moms gets pissed at me". "Alright, call me later maybe?" The other responded. "Sure" Zeke smiled and with that he turned and left the library.

Shorter chapter than the last one lol. I'm still pretty new to writing so please don't judge me. 💀
