You breathed out a heavy sigh as you let the fog engulf you, alerting you of the oncoming trial. It felt like cold air racking through your body, making the hair on the back of your neck stand and a cold shiver run through your entire body. As soon as you opened your eyes you recognized the realm as the deathslinger's realm, dead dawg saloon. You snuck towards the nearest generator which was in a nice place near a pallet and window. You got busy with your hands, blowing hair out of your face with a focused expression on your features. You heard boots and tensed up, only to see Kate in front of you working on the generator as well. She chuckled, a soft expression on her features as she helped you.

"It's just me honey, don't worry."

Her southern accent made her words sound more genuine, her tone gentle and dulcet as if she were speaking to a little one. You exhaled shakily, unaware that you had been holding your breath.

"Yeah- sorry, I've just been so tense lately. I've been getting sent to a lot more trials than usual and I haven't been getting much sleep."

You admitted, connecting a red wire to another red wire. Its not like you needed sleep in the entity's realm, but it was nice to have when you were being constantly run around and slaughtered by merciless killers. Your last trial you had been mori'd by an angry leatherface. Even if you automatically healed after and you weren't dead it was still traumatizing. Thinking about it, you could almost feel the chainsaw slicing through you. You shuddered unccomfortably.

"I see. I'm awful sorry about that hun. How about ya see to these generators with everyone else when we're done with this one. I'll distract the killer as much as I can."

Kate offered with a soft smile on her lips. You shook your head, turning a switch and activating the generator finally.

"No, it's okay but thank you, Kate. Really."

Your body froze at the sound of a scream and meat being punctured nearby. Your heart immediately began racing.

"I'll go get them."

Before Kate could object, you began to walk cautiously towards the direction of the screams. It was only their first hook, thankfully. A sigh of relief fled your lips. You leaned against a building, watching the killer run the opposite way. It was Legion in a frenzy. Your heart dropped. Kate was in that direction. You snapped out of your thoughts, running towards the hook. You had to save your teammate if you wanted any chance of escaping alive this trial. Yui was holding onto the hook, crimson blood dripping from the puncture wound. She grunted in pain, eyes widening when she saw you. You hoisted her up and off of the hook, getting to work on healing her wounds. She clenched her teeth in pain.

"I feel stupid for getting hooked so quickly. I pretty much ran into him on accident."

Yui cursed under her breath as you pressed a little too hard on her wounds.

"Hey, don't worry it's okay. 4 gens left we've got this."

You offered her a light hearted smile. You weren't too good at reassurance, so this would have to do for now. Just as you spoke, your heartbeat began to pick up once more. Yui was already fully healed, so she bolted the other direction. You ran the opposite direction, the sound of a window being vaulted startling you. Before you knew it a knife met your side, causing you to cry out in pain. You looked over your shoulder to be met with Frank chasing after you, knife clutched tightly in his hand. You vaulted another window, Frank doing the same. You clenched your teeth, arm draped over your stomach to apply pressure on the stab wound. He lunged toward you and you dropped a pallet right on his face. He cursed audibly, swinging at nothing.
