Long Day

Cis Female Trixie x Cis Female Katya

Trixie is trying to relax on their L- shaped, chaise lounge sofa in the living room. She is distracting herself by browsing all the social media apps on her phone while waiting for Katya to return home from work.

30 minutes later she hears the key unlocking the apartment door. Katya enters, takes off her heels, and places her purse on the table by the door. She doesn't take note of the fact Trixie stays on the couch. "Hey baby"

Trixie slowly puts her phone down in her lap to turn and look at her wife. She weakly smiles and says, "Hi love, how was work?"

Katya walks over and bends down to to give her wife a kiss. "Tiring, very tiring." She sits next to Trixie and sighs while rubbing her eyes and forehead.

Trixie picks up her phone and places it on the end table next to the sofa. "I'm sorry to hear that. Lets just relax tonight. Do you need anything?" giving Katya a gentle smile.

Katya returns the smile and replies, " A glass of wine would be nice."

"Sure, hold on." Trixie gets up from the couch but before heading the kitchen, she leans down and gives Katya a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I like cute kisses like that." Katya tilts her head back and closes her eyes. She does this for a few seconds. While she waits she thinks to herself that she is so lucky to have Trixie in her life. A wife who is so smart, selfless, and very beautiful.

Trixie returns in a couple minutes with two glasses of wine. "Here you go," handing out one of the glasses for Katya to take.

"Thanks baby". Katya takes the glass and immediately takes a good, long sip. She sighs again but in contentment this time. "It feels so good to finally be home with you and sitting down." She rests her empty hand on her wife's lap.

Seeing how tired Katya is, Trixie thinks for a moment before deciding how to proceed. "Hey, why don't we both get into some comfy clothes for the evening, order pizza for dinner, and watch a movie before heading to bed."

Katya takes a quick sip of her wine and reveals she approves of the plan with, "That sounds like a wonderful idea."

After dinner they are on the sofa watching a movie. Katya is stretched out on the chaise and Trixie is laying down with her head on her wife's lap and facing the television.

Katya softly strokes Trixie's hair while they watch the movie. Trixie decides to rub one of Katya's thighs. Just pure love and comfort radiating from both of them. They continue this for a few minutes.

"Babe?"

"Yes, baby?"

Trixie lifts and turns her head to look into her wife's eyes. "I love you so much."

Katya looks down at her and replies," I love you more." She leans down and kisses her wife.

Trixie's eyes start to swell up with tears and she swallows a lump in her throat as she starts to put her head back down.

Katya quickly pauses the movie, grabs a few tissues from the box on the end table, and reaches a hand to her wife's face. "Baby what's the matter? I'm sorry I didn't ask you earlier how your day was."

Trixie takes a tissue from Katya, wipes her eyes then averts them away before replying, "It's okay...Today was a bad day... And I didn't want to say anything since you had a long day."

Katya shakes her head knowing what Trixie means by this. She should have realized this when Trixie didn't get up to greet her at the door as she usually does when back home from work and how she has been on the quieter side all evening.

She immediately takes one of Trixie's hands and says, "I'm so sorry baby. I don't ever want you to feel you can't tell me how you are feeling. Do you want to talk about it or do you just want to relax?" Katya asks, knowing that these are the usual ways Trixie likes to deal with her bad depression days.

Tears fall down Trixie's face as she turns back to face her wife and responds with, "There isn't much to say... It took me forever to finally get out of bed and then when I did I wasn't hungry so I barely ate anything before you got home. And I... have been really emotional today." Trixie looks away and starts to weep again into a tissue.

"Hey, that's okay. I always want to know what's going on with you and how you are feeling, no matter what kind of day I have or how I am feeling. I care about you and love you so much." Trixie turns her head to look at Katya.

Katya continues, "I am so sorry you have felt this way today and how hard today was for you. I wish I could just make days like today disappear and never come back. You know, like use a magic wand and poof, all the bad stuff is gone. " Katya raises a hand and mimics waving a wand while keeping a very serious face.

Trixie smirks and a small laugh escapes her lips. Katya joins in on the laugh.

"I knew that would get you to laugh."

Trixie lightly shoves Katya in the thigh "Yeah, yeah Miss Magic Wand. Um... "

"Is there something else you wanted to tell me?"

Trixie shakes her head. "No, I would like to finish the movie. I want to continue relaxing with you, if that's okay."

"Of course that's okay" Katya kisses Trixies forehead and uses the last tissue in her hand to wipe a couple wet spots under her wife's eyes that haven't dried up yet.

Trixie tries to smile or say something to show her gratitude but just can't seem to get it out yet. She puts her head back down to go back to watching the tv and Katya resumes stroking her hair.

A few minutes pass and Trixie quietly utters, "Thank you." while slightly biting her lower lip in nervousness.

Katya looks down at her and says, "No need to thank me, love." She softly squeezes Trixie's hand and then uses a thumb to lightly rub it.

Within a few minutes, Trixie calmly sighs and her eyes start to get heavy.

Katya notices Trixie's eyes are closed and decides it is time to turn off the tv. "Baby let's head to bed, okay?"

Trixie picks up her head and nods.

Both of them get up off the sofa. Katya holds out a hand and Trixie takes it and they walk to their bedroom holding hands, both feeling love and understanding radiating between them.
