He misses me. He misses me! And a high pitched sound leaves my mouth, the woman sitting next to me on the bus giving me a weird look.

"So, what's the plan?" Rebecca asks while I pack my suitcase.
"Since he is playing on Sunday and I'm also working that day, but they travel the day of the game, we are spending Friday and Saturday together" I explain.
"And do you know what you are doing?"
"Tomorrow he is taking me somewhere for dinner, and then we are spending Saturday at his place watching a movie or something."
"You are staying at his house, uh?"
"You are the sensible friend. Please don't turn into Taylor."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Are you excited?"
"I'm... I'm nervous" I say, sitting on my bed.
"Why?"
"Because... Because..." I mumble.
"You know you can tell me anything, don't you?" Rebecca says, moving to sit next to me.
"I know. It's just... Saying it out loud is gonna make it real and..."
"And it's scary."
"Very" I say with a big sigh. I'm falling for Rúben. Big time. And I can't remember the last time I felt like this with someone. Or if I've ever felt it before. And even though I know he isn't a womaniser or anything like that, knowing that he is a football player and everything that comes with it, is always there. Every time I let myself get excited about a possible future with him, something in my head makes me think about possible cheating, about the heartbreak. I know that it could happen with any man I date, but still...
"You know, I've only met him twice. Or one and a half, the first probably doesn't count. But I think he is one of the good ones, and that it is worth giving this a chance. Maybe not letting yourself go as if nothing else matters, but... You know. Enjoy the moment" Rebecca says.
