When I met You

Ethan's POV

A/N *with all that has come out about Ned I will be kicking him out of this story but I will leave him in this chapter. KZE for life bby*

Mark told me about an opportunity for a collaboration with a YouTube channel called "The Try Guys" for our duo channel, Unus Annus, and had me look up the guys to get my opinions. They seem like decent people, but Mark has only met one of them, Keith, who is apparently the "funny guy" of their quadrant channel.
He told me Keith liked the idea of collabing so I needed to dress well and meet him at a sushi place, where the six of us will talk over dinner. I dress in a blue button up shirt and dark jeans, giving myself a once-over in the mirror.
I decide I look okay and get in my car, turning on my GPS so I can find the Sushi Place Mark said we were meeting up at.

When I walk in, I see a group of 3 guys, one of which I know is Keith since Mark sent me a picture of him in case I got there first. Nervous, I join the three men. One of them is a little shorter than me with brown hair and glasses, who introduces himself as Zach.

The other guy, A Asian man with a beautiful head of hair, looks off in the window until Keith taps him on the shoulder. The man is wearing a skirt and a tank top with a skeleton on it. I already like the vibe of this man. He looks over.
"Oh. Hey, I'm Eugene. Are you Mark or Ethan?" I respond.
"Ethan" and he nods.
"Ned isn't here yet. He's busy with his wife" Keith says, and they laugh. It must be an inside joke of some kind. All of a sudden, A ginger haired man walks inside with a baby at his hip.

"Ned! You couldn't get a babysitter?" Eugene says and Ned looks troubled.
"Ariel got sick and threw up so I took the kids. Wes is in the backseat."
I notice how light The baby's hair is. They must take after Ned's wife, whoever she is. The baby is quite cute. I watch it as it starts to coo, now in a baby high chair.
"Ethan, you can touch the baby, you know." Eugene notices me staring.
"Nah, its cool. I'll wait until his Dad gets back." I say. Ned soon returns with what looks like a 3 year old who has the same shade of almost white hair.
For some reason, the second Ned gets back, the baby starts crying. My very-inexistent paternal instinct kicks in and I pick up the baby, cuddling it between my chin and waist, whispering to it.
The baby calms down almost immediately and I look up to see not one, but 5 shocked faces. "How in the hell did you do that?" Ned asks. "I can't ever get them to settle down that quick."
"I dunno." I say. Just then, a middle aged woman with red hair runs inside. "Rachel! Everyone excitedly greets her. I know who she is so I politely introduce myself and text Mark. He doesn't answer after 25 minutes so I call him. Amy answers the phone. "He's on his way there. He left his phone- I'm driving behind him. " I let the guys know this and apologize but they tell me not to worry.
We go ahead and order food, me texting mark the menu so he can choose what he wants to eat. As we converse about our interests and friends through youtube and such, our food comes and Mark arrives. We decide to film a episode of "Without a Recipe" , one of their shows, on Wednesday with the guys, and we plan for the episodes to release within a month of the channel's death. We say our goodbyes, exchange all of our phone numbers and contacts, and head home. I notice the Eugene guy seems to be following me, but i dont take notice. He ends up pulling into the driveway of a house down the block from me. i make note of his address (for emergency purposes) and enter my house, feeding spencer, and taking him on a walk. While we're walking i see Eugene walking 2 tiny dogs and note their appearance is quite appealing.one has curly fur and a pouty face while the other one had straight fur and a mean looking face, the mean one poops in what appears to be a "crows pose" from yoga. Eugene turns around, noticing me, and walks over to talk. I act as nonchalant as possible and let him pet spencer while we talk. We find out that both of us are gay, have no SO's and live alone with our dogs, we talk about our hometowns and when i say i like the cold, Eugene visibly shivers which makes me laugh. We end up on my porch talking till about 11 pm about nothing at all, and i become really fond of Eugene and his doggos.
