I walk past the abandoned church by my school. I've never been to church, I wonder what it's like.

Actually, that's not true. I've been to church, I didn't go again after one day because everyone was so fake. they were trying to be good for this so called God, it was obviously fake. it wasn't a good time, I always felt as if I was expected to be perfect and extremely religious. I'm not. I don't believe in god, or the devil. or any of that. I mean, why do we have to have a life after death? Why can't we just live our own one life and have fun? Do we have to just wait for this heaven to come and make everything alright? Can we just get what we want in life, and not wait for it until we die, because even then we might go to hell? So I don't believe it's true. It's pointless, and I don't care what you think, you can be religious. I don't care, just do whatever helps you.

I don't know why, but that day, I was compelled to go into this church. it was owned by my uncle, he doesn't fix it up, so it's still family property. I'm also, like, my uncles only niece (and his favorite) so he'll vouch for me. i walked into the church and walked through to the place where the ceremonies and stuff take place. I saw someone there, I froze in my tracks. what if he's a murderer? Or a rapist? Should I just turn around and leave quietly? He hasn't seemed to notice me yet.

The boy turned around and looked extremely shocked. we stood there in silence for a few moments. it gave me a few seconds to look at him.

He had on dirty black tennis shoes, skinny jeans. I looked up at his shirt, it was a band t-shirt from the band I'm in. yes, I'm in a band. It's called popular outcasts, and I sing for it.

"Oh hey I'm in that band. You probably already know that though." I said shyly with a nervous laugh.

"Y-yeah. Popular outcasts is my favorite band. I can't believe I'm meeting you." he said, slightly starstruck. I'm not really used to meeting fans Because popular outcasts is a new band, but it's really getting kind of famous. which is weird since I didn't ever think that would happen.

"Do you want a picture with me or something? I guess." I offered nervously. I didn't really know what to do with fans. I looked at the boy's face for a moment. he had a pretty defined jawline, brown eyes, long eyelashes, pale skin, rosy cheeks, brown eyebrows which were thick and shaped neatly. his cheekbones were way up high under his eye, but they didn't really show unless you were looking for them. he had slightly long black hair that was straight, and slightly (sorry this is a bad description) emo looking. I mean my hairs is slightly emo looking, so I'm not like one of those preppy girls. just saying. His hair was flippy though. it was also thick, he had a lot of hair.

"Y-yeah I'd love to take a picture with you." He said nervously.

I took my phone out and he took his phone out. I stumbled to open my camera app up. I took a picture with him on his phone, and I didn't look that good, but I didn't say anything. then I held my phone up and took a picture with him, he is actually really cute.

I tried to then put my phone away, but I dropped it on the dirty marble floors of the abandoned church. it fell screen down. I knelt to pick it up, I did not want to know what was the damage on the screen. I picked it up and turned it over slowly, it had no damage.

"Is your phone alright?" He said, I just realized he was knelt down in front of me. I turned my phone on and tested to see if it still worked.

"Yeah- I'm glad it didn't break." I said worriedly.

"Yeah- so what brings you in the church today?" The boy said, he worded it slightly wrongly. "I mean, why are you in the abandoned church. I've gone here everyday for the last year, and no ones found me. or even gone in here." he re-said.

"I don't know. my uncle owns this property so I just walked in. I felt like it I guess." I said huffily.

"Really? That's cool." He said.

"So i have a couple questions, first of all: why do you hang out here? And second of all: what's your name?" I said curiously.

"I hang out here Because no ones ever here. it's always a good place to be alone. and my name is Isaiah. I already know your name though, it's keela welshebergur," he talked fastly. "I hope you don't find it creepy, your in my favorite band so I know your name. it's not creepy-- I hope." he said even faster and more nervously.

"No it's not creepy. At least I don't really have to introduce myself." I spoke looking at the ground. we had a more few more moments of awkward silence and I finally said something. "so- um, I hope you don't find this creepy, but umm----- what's you phone number?" I said awkwardly.

"Oh it's- just umm- here do you have a pen?" He asked and I pulled a pen out of my bag. "thanks- I'm- here it is." He muttered loudly and gave me a piece of paper with his number on it. I was excited to call him, I really like him.
