Choosing a target was never easy. It was kind of a gut feeling I have when I see the picture. I look at a picture and sometimes I would just know that person was next. I have been going through profiles on my computer for two hours now, no luck.
Two years ago, I transferred my hard copy files into a stand-alone computer in the basement. I used to have an entire room full of cabinets dedicated to target profiles. It took too long to go through them to pick someone out. Now I just have to click through the pictures until I find what I am looking for, I still have thousands of targets to go before I run out.
A picture caught my eyes. All the women on file has the same general look, long blond hair and blue eyes. Something about this one was different. I clicked open her file and the summary page popped up.

I clicked open the details tab. Here I have all the information I found about her on the internet. She went to the University of Virginia, enjoys basketball and hockey. Has over 2000 friends on her facebook account, including one of my alias. I have a lot of home work tonight. I have to review all of her facebook activity since I last updated her file two years ago.
I stood up and went into the server room. I turned on my firewall that will connect my stand-alone computer with the internet. I used a professional grade anonymizer that hides my traffic. Same one used by the Bureau’s cyber division. One great benefit about being a special agent in the FBI, we get to pick any auxiliary training we want to supplement our career. I have accumulated a wide range of skills in the last ten years, include training on surreptitious entry, cyber intrusion, surveillance and counter surveillance, SWAT, long range marksman, expert hand to hand, criminal profiling, and many more.
I sit back down at the computer and clicked on the telecom tab of her profile. It connected to a virtual server I have set up in China. The server stored the results of all the worms that I have sent to my targets. The worms passively collected their electronic information. From here, I have access to all of her onlne bills, emails, and even remote access to her laptop if I want. All because she clicked on a link in an email I social engineered for her two years ago.
All these data needs to be sift through before I can make a final decision whether to pursue this target or move on to another one. It will take a few weeks. In the mean time, I will start building a new alias persona for this kill.
