Kaeya was so tired.
Tired from all the work the the Knights of Favonius gave him, tired of the glares Diluc sent him when he was at Angel's Share, tired of life. Yet, he didn't want to die.
He is standing at the base of the tree in Windrise, and looked up. Kaeya saw the galaxy, and whirl or rainbow coloured stars lighting up the dark sky. Master Crepus used to say the gods had flung the stars out into a canvas of darkness to guide the lost people in the world back home. Far away in the distance did he see the constellation, his constellation, Pavo Ocellus shining bright in the night sky. Was that where home was? He didn't know anymore.
Maybe his home is up in the stars, with the rest of his family. He certainly wasn't going to Celestia. He was, no, is still a sinner. Diluc made sure he would never forget that. He would be lucky to even go in peace, unlike every other Khaenri'ahn, who were turned into monsters.
Sinners don't go to heaven. They go to hell.
Kaeya is sure he will end up there, sooner or later.
