Lucy turned over and hit the snooze button on her phone.

"There is no reason to get that aggressive about it," Lucy mumbles into her pillow as she sits up and turns the alarm off, she groans at the time. Why'd she have to schedule an 8 am class this semester, she thought she left that behind in her freshman days.

She sighs, dropping out of her lofted bed and onto the shag rug of her dorm room, she looked over and saw her roommate Levy was still dead to the world. Lucy slipped out of her PJ's and put on her pleated white skirt and light blue crop top, she tried to get ready quietly knowing Levy didn't have classes till 9 today, no reason to wake her up at 7. Then she was out the door and headed toward the building's exit so she could go grab some breakfast before class.

She walks down the campus's main walk, not many students are awake yet, and those who are look like zombies. Lucy thinks she's doing only slightly better than them. She makes it to the common hall, where breakfast is being served. She scoops a little of everything and goes to sit down at a table by herself. She usually likes mornings spent alone. She pulls out a book Levy had leant her and opens to her bookmark.

She places a bite of french toast in her mouth and right as she starts to read the first sentence of page 93 a loud snore disrupts her atmosphere. She brings her eyes up from her book, looking around, she spots a guy a table away from her, head down on the table, asleep next to his massive pile of scrambled eggs and ham. She stares for a minute, something about the guy seemed familiar to her, but she thinks she would have remembered meeting someone with bright pink hair before.

She sighs putting the book down, she supposes she should be a good person today, might give her enough karma to pass her math final in a few weeks. She picks up her tray and book, and walks over to the pink hair mans table, sitting across from him. She then gently pokes his shoulder with her finger. "Hey, Wake up."

The man doesn't move.

She pokes harder.

Nothing.

She slaps his face a little bit, not too hard, though enough to make her want to laugh. He shoots up from his sleeping position, his scarf flailing. Rubbing his eyes, looking around and then focusing on her, he doesn't say anything at first. Then he seems to remember the food in front of him. He picks up his fork and digs in.

Between bites of his food he says, "So, who are you?"

"I'm the girl who probably saved you from being late to your 8 am." Lucy replies, "So you're welcome."

"Thanks," the pink haired guy doesn't seem fazed by her sarcasm, or it just went right over his head. "If I missed another class I don't know what I'd do."

"Not a morning person?"

"Sometimes I am," he says, shoveling food into his mouth. "Just not for a writing class."

"Which writing class?"

"Um... the one with Professor Loki? I swear the guy is always wearing those strange glasses but I don't think he even needs them to see, and he wears a suit everyday, I barely roll out of bed like this." The man has on a black t-shirt and jeans, definitely a grab and go shirt based on the possible stains she sees on the upper right sleeve.

"That's my 8 am class too." That must be where she's seen him before though something in her gut tells her that's not it. "I don't remember seeing you there." Though it's a large lecture and she sits in the front row.
