This is not a love story although it does have that, but this is a story of something that leaves a bigger imprint on someone that love can never do: change. This is a story about change.
Chapter 1: She Came Out of Nowhere
It was the first day of Senior Year when Chester was awoken by something other than his alarm clock: it was his little sister jumping on his bed.
"Chessssssterrrrrr!" she yelled whilst jumping on his bed, her long auburn hair getting all over her face. She had just turned three the previous month, and as well as gaining a year older, she had also seemed to gain more desire to get on Chester's bad side, which of course, would not happen.
"Hey, June, mornin'," Chester said groggily, easily catching June in mid jump with his toned, but not buff, arms and hugging her, which seemed to melt away her desire to annoy him today. It always did because Chester's hugs were the best. June wrapped her little arms around his torso as well as she could and told him to go down for breakfast.
"Okay, tell mom and dad I'll be right down," he said getting up and heading into his bathroom to wash up. He could hear her little footsteps leaving.
Chester Larkson had beautiful jet black hair that was not short, but not long either. He had a smile that could take anybody's breath away, and bright blue eyes. Charlie, his best friend always tells him that he looks like that guy from the sucky Percy Jackson movies, and he agrees, simply because if he didn't stop him, he'd go on and on about how bad the movies were compared to the book.
After taking a quick shower, he got dressed in a shirt that featured songs by The Ramones, acid wash jeans, and black Converse hi-cuts and headed downstairs for his usual breakfast of pancakes with blueberries and whipped cream. Unfortunately today, it was bacon and eggs with a staple of mashed potatoes, which he loved just the same.
His dad was reading a newspaper on the table while drinking his coffee, he was a lawyer. And his mom was preparing more bacon and eggs for his sister which was just coming down from dressing herself up, quite messily, all by herself.
"June!" his mom half-yelled, she loved order and cleanliness. "What happened? I told you to wait for me." She wasn't mad, in fact, she was trying not to laugh. Who wouldn't when June was wearing her dress inside out and her hair was a mess filled with bobby pins and butterfly hairclips? She looked hilarious.
"Just a normal morning for the Larksons," Chester thought before heading out for school.
His school wasn't far enough for a bus ride, so he walked to school every morning. Crossing the road and passing by several shops that would still be closed at 6am.
Little did he know, today wasn't gonna be like all the other days he's had, because today was the day he'd be meeting Anna Belle Richards.
He was just about to cross the road when he heard tires screeching, and a black limousine knocked him over. It stopped just in time to prevent any serious damage, but it still hit him hard and for now, he couldn't get up. The pain felt like fire, and next thing he knew, he fell unconscious with a blurry picture of a girl asking if he was okay.
When he woke up, he was in the hospital.
