3RD PERSON POV

𝗧𝗛𝗘 sun came down as all the families gathered into the dining room, as everyone sat down into a seat looking at the food Susannah prepared for dinner, as Steven went to sit down on his chair Irene entered the room seeing an empty spot next Steven as she sped walked towards the empty seat trying to make herself presentable.

"Alright dig in everyone!" Susannah spoke raising her hands up, as everyone went to grab their portions of food set in the middle of the table, as everyone got busy with each other talking and laughing.

After the conversations died down, Steven was looking at his phone showing funny photos to Jeremiah as he laughed as well.

IRENES POV

Laurel interrupted "Steven I swear to god if you look at the phone one more time I'm putting it in the screen basket." Belly and I looked at each other as we both giggled, Susannah grabbed her wine glass as she assured "It's just we wanna see your beautiful faces."

Susannah was always a positive person, It's like she doesn't get mad. Ever. "Can dinner be a screen-free zone? Ya know? Like the olden days?" Susannah drank her wine as she asked.

"Yeah I remember those days when all the kids used to fight over who ate the most food." Ashley added
Laurel chuckled as she remembered the thought.
It would always be Jeremiah who won.

Steven, James, and Jeremiah were the most competitive, but I guess everyone grew out of it and it stopped. Anna asked "When are we gonna have the annual girls movie night?" Cora questioned "Yeah I wanna do it! I made sure to bring beads and other crafts for us to do."

Laurel said "Soon girls we can make sure to bake before we watch like you requested." The younger girls cheered as they high fived each other. Steven was still on his phone, I haven't talked to him at all throughout dinner.
