Chapter III

[His eyes sparkled with lust under the moonlight. I wanted to feel him but he pulled away. He stretched over me to pull my door and a fluttery feeling grew in my stomach and I felt myself throbbing over the proximity of our bodies.]

The weekend flew by rather quickly. I spent most of it sleeping in bed. Vanessa and I went out once to get groceries and she even gave me a tour of the city. This was my first time being in the U.S and everything is rather different in London. I didn't grow up in the U.K so I don't have a British accent.

My mom is a well-known artist from Jamaica and my father is an attorney from Germany. They both moved to Greece where they met and I was born. We lived there up until I turned 14 and we relocated to London, currently where we are living. I wanted some type of freedom so I moved to Chicago for college.

It's now Monday and I have advanced accounting. Great.

I quietly scanned the room and only saw a few people already seated and chatting. Thank God I'm not late. Mr Armani is absent?

An unfamiliar woman walked in and greeted us as a substitute professor. She had strawberry-blonde hair styled in a bob cut and she wore a burgundy suit along with black pumps.

"Let's begin," she stated, carefully looking over the students.

When the session ended I stopped by her desk out of curiosity.

"Mrs Upton, I wanted to ask why our professor was absent. I don't mean to pry but he just doesn't seem like that type of person,"

She studied me and smiled.

"He's not feeling well, you may leave,"

I exited the room without asking anymore questions. He's sick???? But he was totally fine yesterday. I hope he's okay. Maybe something happened while he was heading back from the complex..

I asked around and eventually because of my super pro detective skills, I got Mr Armani's street address. I know. It's creepy, but it's for a good reason.

I bought a get well card and some other goodies and took an uber to his street. Now I had no idea which house was his and I knocked on around 3 doors to ask for him and finally someone directed me to his house. STRANGER DANGER??

The house was black and grey with white highlights. I walked to the front door cautiously. Something about the house was just off-putting.

I knocked twice and then the door opened. He stepped in front of the door and looked puzzled as I stood there taking in his looks. His hair was wet. I guess he just showered. He was shirtless. Wait, no sorry. HE WAS SHIRTLESS. He had tattoos lining his chest and some on both arms. Bro's chest was rock hard. He looked magnificent in those grey sweatpants... totally cliche.

"Jade?"

"JADE?"

"Sir!" I breathed out panicky. I had no idea I was staring so long and intently.

"What are you doing here?.. How do you know where I live?" he crossed his arms while speaking.

"Sir, I heard you were feeling under the weather. You were last with me so I didn't know if you even reached home from the dorm complex or not. I wanted to check up on you," I said in a soft tone.

"I'm your teacher. It's the other way around. Come inside, it's cold out,"

I stepped inside and the interior was of the same colour scheme as the outside. There were paintings on empty sides of the walls. The house smelled like someone was baking or making something sweet. I heard chatter come from somewhere else in the house and saw people sitting around a table.

"Who's this?"

I looked over to see a brunette young man who almost identically resembled Mr Armani question him.

There were 5 people seated at the table. An older looking man, he had salt and pepper facial hair that matched the hairs on his head and he was muscular. A woman seated to his right looked like she could be Mr Armani's mother, she had very long black hair that was so shiny I needed to know her hair-care routine. Two younger females, one about the same age as Mr Armani and the other being much older. Both females looked exactly like the woman, only younger versions. Lastly, the voice that spoke. He wore an ear to ear grin staring at Mr Armani and I.

"This is Jade," Mr Armani responded to the man curiously watching him.

"Will she be eating dinner as well," the younger girl asked, grabbing a chair.

Mr Armani looked over at me before turning back towards the people seated.

"She will not be joining us."
