The Replacement

Chapter 3

After a long day of Dodgers debut in the pizzaplex they were finally closing for the night. Once everyone was gone the owner and any big business people left with him. Now the plaza was left to the one night shift person and the animatronics.

Lilac sat in her office watching the cameras briefly before returning to her book in her hand. Meanwhile movement was happening on her camera but she never noticed.

The door to Dodger's lounge was throw open as if it weighted nothing. Out came the colorful Direwolf from the door. He walked towards the railing to look down at everything. As his eyes adjusted to the brighter lighting than his lounge he was amazed at the colors. His arm started to glow as he noticed a black light above him.

He left the railing to continue walking the unknown area. As he made his way to the floor level he was greeted by a very cheery but short chicken. She was styled similar to him. The patterns on her legs were very fitting of his theming.

"Hi! You must be our new friend! What's your name?"

He felt rushed as she talked. If it was a cartoon he felt he would have been able to see the words flying at him like rockets.

"I'm Dodger, and you are?"

The short chicken seemed to be rather shocked at the tone of the new comers voice. It wasn't low but it was rather rough. Almost villainous.

"I'm Chica!"

"Nice to meet you, Chica."

"Nice to meet you as well Dodger! Come meet the rest of the gang!"

Chica was quick to hook her arm around Dodger's dragging him with her. She took him to meet Roxana, Monty, and Freddy. After meeting Monty Chica seemed to have lost a Direwolf.

Dodger made quick friends with Monty. Monty would flex his strength, teeth and bite force. The canine was quick to flex his own weapons against the gator. While Monty was stronger in bite force. Dodger made up for the lack of bite force with his strength. Dodger was now the biggest animatronic next to music man. So with his size compared to Monty, he won there.

After a bit of chatting with everyone. Everyone parted ways. Most of the glamrocks went to their rooms. While Dodger just walked around the plaza making his way into the lobby. He noticed a door for a daycare but didn't dare venture near it. He was worn out from the day and meeting everyone.

He walked past a door and down a hallway only to hear the door behind him open and close. When he turned he saw a female exit. It wasn't an animatronic though. It was a human. He started walking up on the human. His heavy footsteps echoed through the hall letting the human know he was there.

When she turned, thinking it was one of the glamrocks, she meet the toothy grin of Dodger. She yelped and stumbled backwards. When Dodger was able to look at her his attitude seemed to change.

"Well I remember you."

As he took a step towards her he lowered himself to her level. The growl of a machine and a wolf mixed together escaped Dodgers mouth.

"Don't think I don't know what your capable of! Your a monster! If you kill me now they will know who did it."

Dodger only laughed.

"Kill you? Please I'm not into you like that. Besides, your the one who entered a restricted zone."

"You attacked me!"

"You entered a restricted zone. Keep trying pretty but you won't win this battle. I've got more teeth in this fight."

Dodger got up and returned to his calm state.

"Besides, your not that special."

"What's the supposed to mean?"

"You humans aren't smart."

"Excuse me?!"

"You heard me."

As Dodger took another step away Monty came rushing in.

"Lilac! Are you ok? What happened Dodger?"

The gator looked to his large canine friend who simply returned the same worried look.

"I was walking down the hall when I heard Lilac cry for help. She slipped on the floor. Must have cleaned it. There should really be a sign up."

Monty looked a bit relieved it wasn't something more serious. Lilac couldn't believe Monty fell for Dodgers lie.

"Are you ok lilac?"

"I'm fine Monty..."

She quickly brushed the gator away and stood up brushing herself off.

"I'm just gonna finish my run of the plaza and go back to my office."

"Do be more careful Lilac, you never know what floors are wet. After all with kids running around all day they have to clean the place at some point."

Monty only agreed with Dodger as the night guard walked away from them. She was really starting to hate this Dodger character. As she looked back at the two she saw the wicked grin on Dodgers snout. His canine teeth showing.

As she turned back to look in front of her she felt a shiver go down her spine as she felt Dodgers eyes on her. She had to do some digging in this character more. There was something wrong with him.

After her run of the plaza to make sure everything was ok she returned to her office to see Dodger wandering a hall. He looked over his shoulders before entering a door. As she looked at the door as it was closing she does see words on it.

"Project Wolf"

It was faded as they tried to get rid of it from the public eye but were very lazy about it.

The question as to why he was entering the room was tugging at her brain. It o my added to her suspicions of him. Is he hiding something. As soon as he entered he exited the room with something in his claws. It was too small for the cheap camera's to pick up.

She hit her fist against the desk in frustration as she seemed to be on the opposite end of the stick from him. As she dwelled on it more she realized that the only way she was ever gonna figure out Dodgers intentions was to get close to him. The thought of befriending him made her hate herself. She had to if she wanted to get her info.
