You where in your house by yourself baking a cake for your husband Rory as it was his birthday and he would be back until later today so you wanted to make it special so you decided to make it from scratch. so you had all the ingredients and all weight out and had your mixture beaten in the mixer and the design that you wanted to do in front of you.
You wanted to make a two tried cake with 12 cupcakes going up and one trie to be in a dome shape. so you had all the baking tins /cake tins you needed and you poured the mixture into the first tin it was just a normal cake tin then poured some into the dome tin and then the rest you spooned into the cupcake tray and put into the oven at 180c fan oven the cupcakes would only take 20-30 minutes and then 2 cakes would take about 35-45 minutes to cook.
1hour later....
The cakes and cupcakes had all cooled down so you made the icing and had started piping the cupcakes in green icing for the grass as you wanted to make a golfing cake. You had all the cupcakes done and set to one side as you started on the main base of the cake and covered it in white frosting and then got some white icing and piped wee cris-cross designs and then placed some golden balls where the two crossing met and then you got the domed cake out for the tin and then placed it on top of the other cake and started to make it look like to the golf ball you had just the do the writing on the cake and then put it in the fridge for a bit you had just finished the writing when you heard the door open and close and you just thought to yourself "oh no he's back earlier than he said and you still had to get the cake into the fridge and do all the dishes. You ran over to the cake to lift it and put it in to the fridge but was harder to lift than you expected it to be and then the kitchen door opened and it was Rory back early.
you just stood there with your hands around this cake trying to lift it and you just said " hi your back early" and Rory just looked at you and then the cake and then you again and then replied "yeah we finished early " and he also said " I caught you, trying to make a cake with out me huh huh "? You said "well it your birthday and I thought that you were going to be back at like 7 so I thought I would make you a birthday cake as a surprise." " So, SURPRISE"
He just walked up to you and said " that's the best thing someone has done for me in a long time thank you Babe it looks so good and WOW" you smiled and said "my pleasure babe " and then he when to give you a hug but then put frosting on your face as you had left the bowl full of frosting next to you and then you put frosting on his face and the two of yous had a good fight and then had some cake later on after the two of yous got washed and then Rory said to you " this is the best birthday ever thank you " and the you replied "no problem babe" and then the two of yous cuddled together on the sofa watching TV.
