Richie's POV
----------------------
I woke up to the sound of glass hitting the floor outside my bedroom door. I lazily stood up and went to the door to see what was going on. Before I even touched the handle I heard yelling and the sound of crying.
I could tell it was my mother crying. It was like every other day, my father would be angry about something and he would take his anger out on my mother.
I decided to stay in my room just in case he wasn't done throwing beer bottles. I knew it was bad to leave my mother to suffer, but when has she ever helped me? Oh, that's right.
Never.
I walked over to my closet and chose a simple white tee, with a pink flamingo cover-up and faded khakis shorts. I walked to my bathroom and took a short shower and changed. I tucked my white tee into my shorts and grabbed my glasses off my bedside table, while putting on white socks along with my beat up converses.
I slid my glasses on and looked in the mirror. I looked like shit. My hair was all messy and there were visible eye bags shining on my pale skin. I quickly grabbed a comb and combed my hair to the best of my ability. Once my hair was tamed (most of the way) I pranced out of my bathroom and grabbed my extra pair of socks just in case, if ykyk.
I walked over to my window while shoving the socks in my pocket. I opened the window and climbed down using the side tiles. I knew if I left the front door I would have earned a new bruise. I walked to the front yard and grabbed my bike rolling it to the end of the driveway before hopping on.
I rode all the way to Eddies house. I realized I had been showing quite an interest in Eddie lately, and all I have been wanted to do is reach out and touch him. No matter what I said to myself Eddie was always my first thought.
Eddie.
Eddie.
Eddie.
It's all I ever thought of.
Soon I arrived at Eddies house. I jumped off my bike throwing it to the ground as I ran up to his porch. I knocked on the door three times before I heard Mrs. K screaming for Eddie to get the door. I heard foot steps coming towards the door and I could visibly see the door knob moving.
Soon the door flung open and a messy Eddie stood in front of me. He was wearing those red shorts with a yellow tee and knee high socks with stripes at the top.
I stood staring at him like some sort of stalker. "Uh, Richie? Are you coming in or not?" I heard Eddie say, breaking the awkward silence. He moved out the way with a creak of the door opening more. "Oh um, yeah." I awkwardly walked in past Eddie and went to his room with him following quickly behind.
Once we were in his room he closed the door and locked it so Mrs. K wouldn't barge in randomly. He moved to the closet sifting through clothes trying to find shoes, I assume. I watched his every move as I sat on his bed.
I couldn't keep my thoughts to myself and soon I said "You're pretty Ed's" I slapped a hand over my mouth once I processed what I said. "What?" He turned to me, his eyes as wide as a deer in headlights.
"I- Pretty ugly!..." I said, as a small blush was creeping on my cheeks. "Very funny Richie." Eddies face dropped a bit after my remark. "So," Eddie started "Why are you here?" As he finished his sentence he pulled out a small box from his closet and observed the small writing.
"Oh i was just bored." I said with a small interest in the box he had in his hand. "Hm, I didn't know the famous Richie 'Trashmouth' Tozier could get bored." Eddie said looking me dead in the eye, his gaze finally away from the small box.
My curiosity got the best of me and I spoke up "What's in the box Ed's?" I directed my attention to the small box Eddie gripped tightly.
Eddie finally spoke up. "Oh it's,"
Bye ;)
