It was 7:30 a.m. and Jesse had barely opened his eyes while swinging his fist at the alarm clock to stop the incessant 'meep-meep-meeping' that was blaring through his bedroom. He connected with the clock and the alarm went quiet, but Jesse wasn't sure if he hit the off or the snooze button. He'd know in about 9 minutes.
Once he was washed and dressed he grabbed his backpack and started down the stairs to grab something for breakfast. He was in luck, even though both his parents were already on their way to work they left him some bacon, eggs, and toast, which he formed into a sandwich, added some ketchup and began munching while walking out to his car. His 1997 Taurus wouldn't win him any friends, but it was better than taking the bus.
He felt a twinge in the pit of his stomach, it was the first day at a new school and he'd had to switch schools after being expelled for selling drugs. Jesse knew he would be on his new principal's radar - this was exactly the kind of thing they lived for.
When he parked beside the school he took a few minutes to gather his belonging, just to let him catch his breath before heading into the lion's den as the new kid. Would there be a chance to start fresh, or would his history catch up with him? One more deep breath, in, then out, and Jesse started the long walk to the side entrance, hoping nobody would notice him.

Guy shook his head to clear the weird dream about pirates from his head, and glanced at his alarm clock, only to see that it was already 8:05 - Shit, he forgot to set his alarm! Jumping into the pair of jeans that was laying on the floor, he wiggled them up over his hips, zipped and buttoned them up, and then searched for a t-shirt and pair of socks to finish his ensemble. His first day of classes was already heading down the shitter. Augh!
His mom glanced up as he ran out the door, and called "see you tonight, Guybrush."
Stupid name, Guy thought, even though he was named after a famous pirate ancestor. "See ya later," Guy mumbled and sprinted to his car. After speeding the eight blocks to school he parked on the street across from the main entrance and jogged over to the doors.
As he walked towards the auditorium to get assigned to his homeroom and hear about the available extracurricular activities (yawn) he noticed a new guy heading in the same direction. This guy was kinda cute, he had blonde hair and a tan, and was definitely new to the school. With this running through his head, Guybrush grabbed a chair way in the back of the auditorium, along with the other seniors, and waited for the boring administrative stuff to be over.

The kids in the Glee Club were getting ready to promote their group to the kids in the Auditorium. They had practiced for two weeks to get their new mashup ready so they could wow everyone. By mashing up the songs Survivor and I Will Survive the group felt they had an amazing production to encourage kids to join up for the 2012-2013 school year.
The principal introduced the Glee Club, and the kids ran out to thunderous applause. Everyone in the school, except maybe the football team, knew how great the club was, and how much they worked on each and every show. Once they finished their song they jogged off the stage and checked to see who would be manning (or womaning) the sign-up table over the lunch hour. After seeing that Quinn and Kurt had been assigned, everyone headed off to their homerooms to get checked in with their homeroom teachers, and, finally, headed to their first classes of the day.

Guy had loved the Glee Club mashup and just knew he was going to have to sign up to the club. He was not the kind of guy who joined clubs, but something deep inside was urging him to do just that.
