Hold it Together

~[Y/N] POV~

The water feels ice cold on my skin as I make my way down the steps, slowly forcing myself into the pool. The water reaches my belly. *Hoo* thats cold. The pool doesnt get much deeper yet, so I decide to stay at this depth and get used to the water for a few minutes.

I finally decide to dunk my head under the water. When I come back up I hear a loud splash and feel a bunch of ripples in the water.

Someone totally just cannonballed. I look over towards the deep end and notice this guy come up out of the water. Must have been the cannonballer.

I tried to get a closer look at him, but he was facing the other way. Although I couldn't help but notice his dark brown hair.

He turned around to face my direction as I was studying his soaked hair. I clearly was not paying attention because his eyes locked onto my staring gaze. I got lost in his stunning, green eyes for a few seconds. He smiled and lifted his hand, subtly waving. I smiled back without completely realizing what was happening. He looked away, the cute smile on his face remaining.

*LATER THAT NIGHT*

Everyone is inside now, listening to music and having some drinks.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. I look to my left and see him. The cannonballer from the pool.

"Hey, I'm Gaege."

"Um, h-hi! I'm [Y/N]. Nice to meet you."

"I noticed you staring from the other side of the pool earlier today." He begins

My heart starts to beat faster.

"I found it quite difficult to take my eyes off you aswell." He giggles.

I laugh nervously. "Yeah, um... y-your eyes are just-"

He interrupts me. "Yours too..." Gaege places his hands on my shoulders and turns me around, as if to get a better view. He looks me up and down, and I see the tip of his tongue poke out from his perfect smile.

He proceeds to glide his hands down my arms from my shoulders, stopping at my hips.

"What do you say we get to know each other a bit first." I say as I peel his hands off my hips and place them at his sides. "But it's getting late. So, here's my number."

We lock eyes once again. He is perfect. His smile. His eyes. His passion. I almost melt right then and there.

Hold it together!
