The Quirkless Boy

Izuku Midoriya is seen sitting in his desk at Aldera Junior High. He is currently being teased by his best friend, Katsumi Bakugo, as she became suspicious that he may be hiding something from her. Her suspicion was confirmed when he told her he wouldn't tell her what it was. Their teacher enters the class with a stack of paper.

Teacher: "Alright everyone settle down. Now, today we're going to be discussing what you plan to be in the future...oh what am I kidding! I know you all want to be heroes!"

The class erupts in cheers from all the students excluding Izuku, who was seen with a smile on his face seeing the excited Katsumi.

Katsumi: "Hey teach! Don't even sit me next to these extras! They'll be lucky to even be sidekicks for some D-Lister hero!"

Student 1: "Screw you Bakugo!"

Student 2: "Yeah, you think your better than us!?"

Katsumi: "Let's find out! I'll take you all outt in a second!"

Teacher: "Bakugo, aren't you applying to UA?"

Student 1: "UA?!"

Student 3: "Don't they only have a 2% acceptance rate?!"

Katsumi: "Yep! They only enroll thee best of the best!"

Teacher: "Midoriya, aren't you heading to UA as well?"

Izuku: "Yes."

The class starts to laugh at him. He scoffs at them and continues writing in his journals.

Katsumi: "Hey! He may be quirkless, but he knows how to fight!"

Izuku: "Thanks."

Katsumi: "Don't let it get to your head."

As school ends, Katsumi meets with Izuku in the class.

Katsumi: "Come on Deku! I'm waiting for your useless ass!"

Izuku: "If I'm useless why do you hang out with me?"

Katsumi: "Because if I leave you, you'll just be an annoying sad lump in the corner."

Izuku: "Sure, sure."

Katsumi and him leave the building and head down to the mall. Once reaching Kamino Ward, Izuku attempts to leave.

Katsumi: "Hey! Where are you going!?"

Izuku: "Home."

Katsumi: "Oh come on man! You're always just sitting eating soba noodles or training. We haven't hung out in a full month dude."

Izuku: "Oh, then I take it that you really missed me."

Katsumi blushes and grabs his arm twisting it.

Izuku: "Ow, ow, ow! Mercy!"

Katsumi: "Tease me again and I'll...I'll...I'll kill you a thousand times!"

Izuku: "Fine. Can I just stop by and drop my backpack off then?"

Katsumi: "By my house yeah."

Izuku: "Forcing me to stay over again?"

Katsumi: "Of course dumbass. Let's go."

As they walk towards Katsumi's house, a sewer lid opens behind the two teens.

Katsumi: "Why the hell do you carry a katana all day?"

Izuku: "If I'm quirkless I need other ways to protect myself, don't I?"

Katsumi: "But that's why YOU have ME. No ones gonna wanna mess with us with me around."

Katsumi then gets dragged away by a sludge villian. He starts laughing as Jatsumi tries to use her quirk on him.

Slime Vilian: "You can try all you want kiddy! I'm made of slime! You can't hurt me!"

Looking back at Izuku to monolog, the villian sees Izuku slash his katana, cutting both eyes and making the villian scream in pain. He drops Katsumi, as Izuku gets infront of her to protect her from the villian.

Slime Villian: "YOU STUPID FUCKING CHILD!! I CAN'T SEE!!"

Endeavor arrives and knocks out tbe villian, as Izuku sheaths his blade and turns to Katsumi.

Izuku: "You okay?"

Katsumi: "Y-Yeah."

Izuku: "Alright, well I gotta talk to Endeavor about what happened."

Katsumi hugs him and let's him talk to Endeavor. Suprisingly for Izuku, she didn't hit him or be rude in the slightest.

Endeavor: "You fought off this villian?"

Izuku: "Yes sir."

Endeavor: "And your quirkless?"

Izuku: "Yes."

Endeavor: "You know...typically I'd have to tell you not to do this, but between you and me, good job on protecting your friend."

Izuku: "Thank you sir."

Endeavor pats his back and leaves with the villian in containment.

Izuku: "Must've impressed him if he of all people congratulated me."

Katsumi: "Maybe it's because a quirkless boy with a katana defeated a villian."

Izuku: "Could be. How's your leg?"

Katsumi: "Sore."

Izuku: "You wanna lean on my shoulder?"

Katsumi: "No."

She hops onto his back.

Katsumi: "This works better. Now onward ninja-boi!"

Izuku smirks as he carries Katsumi to her home.
