Pip drove through the streets, the streets she wished she never saw again, the streets that gave her a really negative vibe, max hastings' house wasnt far away. Dark, reflecting the same vibe Ravi's house once gave. Once, but not now, not after sal was proved innocent.
She wanted to fly to Ravi's house, every moment felt like it would never end, like it would take eternities for her to finally reach Ravi. She drove for a solid 10 minutes, and here it was, the house where it all started, the house where pip had innocently knocked a few years ago saying she thought Sal was innocent too. She knocked on the door, short-long-short, just like Ravi's knocks. And she could see a figure approaching, and she didn't need the door to open to tell who it was. Ravi, it was Ravi.
A clink of the door knob and she could see him, he looked the same, same posture of him scratching the back of his head when Pip had approached him for the Andie bell case, except this time he wasn't confused, he was delighted, his eyes showed that.
"I waited for you Pip I really did and I missed you too-" But before he said anything more Pip hugged him her face in the same region where it belonged, between the area that joined Ravi's neck to his shoulder.
Both of them cried quietly and this little get together was rather emotional.
Ravi and pip then drove to her parents. Her mom was surprised to see her at the doorstep and she later on admitted that Pip was the last person who she expected to be on the door. Pip's dad didn't speak much, but his smile showed it all. How happy he was to see his Pickle back. They had a nice peaceful meal, but more than that, it was a normal meal. The news was flashing the headlines, "Max Hastings found guilty in the crown vs Max case."
Pip's face reflected the satisfaction. "Yes!" the little Ravi in her head squealed and so did the Ravi who was right beside her. Josh, pipa and Ravi had their own sweet time together, where in Josh made them play games and to every game they lost, they owed him a candy bar. How normal, yet how precious. She could see the dark space in her head but it was no more full of all the negative thoughts, in fact she was at peace with it too.
She still heard the 6 shots of gun sometimes and found Stanley's blood on her hands some other times. But she was okay. She didn't need a Xanax pill to put her to sleep.
She already dealt with the "save her to save her" situation. And she won. Everything was at peace now.
Everything was normal..
