CHAPTER 7

Could i really be blowing my shot at happiness out of fear?

"What is wrong with you huh? We could've had a little pup by now but it seems to me like you don't want one! I should've never chosen a weakling like you to be my mate." Jason spat with so much frustration causing his chosen mate to let out a whimper in pain.

Mia just layed there staring at him blankly. Five years ago she made the greatest mistake she could ever make and it wasn't even her fault. She grew up with Jackon since they were little kids because her father was the beta of the moonlight pack when Jackson's father was the alpha.

Their wives were best friends and Mias mom would always insist that she spends time with Jason just like their parents did and at the time she saw nothing wrong with it because Jason became her bestfriend.

Little did she know that her mother had bad motives but she only really saw them when she got to high school.

When one turns 14 was when they would have their first shift also known as turning into your wolf. Your wolf becomes your other half, your everything.

When you turn 16 was when you were to be able to find your mate, your real mate. Others would find them immediately , others wouldn't because they would be dead.

I guess mine was dead because i never found him, my mom forced me to accept Jackon's proposal , be his mate and produce him with an heir and all for what?

So that she could have someone in her family with a higher rank , Luna , since she couldn't be one.

It wasn't my fault i found out Jackson did actually have a mate that he rejected for a stupid reason like wanting to have me as his mate. I can't imagine what his real mate went through but i do know his wolf hasn't spoken to him in five years now. Nothing , not even linked him or anything so he has to get pills from the pack doctor to help him forcefully shift .

I wish i could go back in time and just find my mate but that little hope i had left that they would be alive , was long gone.

"I didn't ask you to , Jackson. You could've had a beautiful mate with little pups by now , but greed stopped you from thinking straight and now you want to blame me for not reproducing? You know you can't produce an heir with anyone BUT your mate , and I'm not your mate , Manuel-" i didn't get to finish my sentence because i felt a slap on my left cheek.

"Do NOT SAY HER NAME!" he shouts angrily and i just held onto my cheek and stared at him in disbelieve. Never in my life has he ever layed a hand on me.

"I'm sorry Mia , i-i " he says but can't think of anything and i slowly get up walking to the door.

I turn and look at him saying , "we need to go, we've got a meeting in town with a few counsellors. " and walk out before i could hear him respond.

When we walk towards the car where his beta and a few people from the pack house we're waiting , he tries to hold my hand but i move my fingers from him slowly and keep then clasped together infront of me.

"Alpha , uhm can you help me tie my shoes please , my mommy cant help me because the baby stops her "

A random child from my pack comes to me and i just nod giving her a small smile before getting on one knee and tieing her laces and doing the same with the other but i feel someone staring at me and i look up to see andrew sitting with a few kids from his pack , all of them asking him many questions.

"All done, say hi to mommy for me okay and tell her i say congrats on the baby." I say and ruffel her hair a little before walking to where Tyler is .

"Hes good with kids i see , definitely a keeper. " Belle purrrrs and i smile a little before nodding in agreement and still making my way to Tyler's office.
