Y/n's POV:
I run down to see Draco waving at me, I smile and wave back. I run down to sit next to him. "hey y/n, you feeling better?" Draco asks. "Yeah, thanks for asking." I reply. He smiles and starts eating again. "so.. I was wondering Draco.." Woah wait.. WHAT WAS I DOING!? "Hm?" he replies "Would you like to start over? you know, as friends?" I say. What was i thinking!? honestly.. its not like he would- "Sure, why not?" Draco smiles. WHAT!? "Okay, see you at class, Draco!" I reply. I couldn't help but smile.. I'm friends with Draco Malfoy.. the "Heir of slytherin".. wow... I run up to my room and grab my books and put them into my bag to head to class.
Dracos POV:
I see y/n and I wave at her, its good to know she isn't dead. she smiles and waves back, "hey y/n, you feeling better?" I ask. "Yeah, thanks for asking" she replies. I smile and start eating my food again. "so.. I was wondering Draco.." she starts "Hm?" I mumble, still chewing. "Would you like to start over? you know, as friends?" she says. "Sure, why not?" I say, because you know, why not? i could always use more friends. "Okay, see you at class, Draco!" she replies, smiling. I smile as well but i dont think she noticed, she just got up and ran towards the slytherin dorms. I keep eating and thinking about my first class, which was potions. which i had with y/n.
AT POTIONS - Draco's POV:
I wave to y/n, she comes and sits where Parkinson usually sits, which is right next to me. Parkinson was not having it, she went off on y/n like she just killed Parkinson's whole family! I step in and say "Pansy, this isn't your seat, you dont claim it! i dont see your pathetic little name on it! do i? No! I dont! Go sit somewhere else!" at this point, both girls were in tears, y/n because Parkinson literally screamed in her face, Parkinson because I told her off. I gave y/n a handkerchief i kept in my robe, she wiped her tears and put it in her pocket and thanked me heavily, to be honest it wasn't a big deal, but she was very thankful, which i appreciated, nobody really thanks me for anything, so it was nice. Professor Snape barges into the classroom and starts teaching us about stupid potions stuff. I see y/n writing notes, two pages of notes.. with the same stuff on it? shes writing the notes in doubles? why? whatever. I just keep starring at her notes when I hear professor Snape yell "Class Dismissed." I close my books and watch y/n grab her notes, splitting them in half, keeping one half, and handing the other half to.. me?! "Here, I noticed you weren't paying attention, So I wrote these for you. As a thank you." She smiles and hands the notes to me. she has wonderful handwriting, I must admit, she wrote my name at the top, with a smiley face next to it. I smile and thank her. "Of course! anything for a friend" she smiles. I smile back and walk to my next class.
AT POTIONS - Y/n's POV
I see Draco wave at me, so i go sit next to him, but what i didn't realize is I was sitting right where Pansy usually sits, so when i see her walk over to me, i know I'm screwed. she starts going off on me and i couldn't help but start crying. by that point everyone in the classroom was starring at us and out of nowhere Draco steps in, "Pansy, this isn't your seat, you dont claim it! i dont see your pathetic little name on it! do i? No! I dont! Go sit somewhere else!" he screams. I look at him with a shocked face then looked back at Parkinson who was now in tears. ill be honest, it was kind of funny. I see Draco grab something out of his robe, it was a handkerchief? it took a second to think of what it was for, but then Draco handed it to me. i wiped my tears and slipped it into my pockets. i started thanking Draco when he just smiled and said "It was nothing" and opened his book and starred at it for a moment. a few seconds later, Professor Snape walked in and started talking about the potions and what we would need for our potions test the next day. he also mentioned we would need partners for the test, so he let us choose. Draco wasn't really paying attention, so I told snape I would be his partner. Draco just watched me as I took notes. I was taking doubles for Draco, I needed to repay him somehow for saving me from pansy's torture. After class was over, I split the perfectly identical notes in half, I put one half in my potions book, and handed the other half to Draco. "Here, I noticed you weren't paying attention, So I wrote these for you. As a thank you." I smile. after a few seconds he smiles and thanks me. "Of course! anything for a friend" I smile. I get up and grab my bag for the next class.
