A moment of silence

in the sea, memories

washed ashore. . .

But the vile ones

stays. . .

"So you like the ocean?" He spoke in that deep voice.

I sip at the remaining coffee in my cup and say, "Yup."

"Even after 'that' happened," he said, buffling and creasing his eyebrows.

a moment of silence...

I puffed out a long breath, gazing into the setting sun. I rolled my bare feet on the fine sand, stroking it while thinking. I put on a small smile,

"Well, the ocean is wide. Too wide to put a blame on reminiscing about the bad ones in it. Too deep to engulf the vain and always think about all the trauma. The ocean reminded me of the uncertainty of its infinite wideness. I make it one of my strong bases that despite the eventful storms, I always loved the calm side it brings after it."

I looked back at him. His dark eyes were full of questions. I shook my head and sighed.

"Just because..." I replied out of the blue and kept those words to myself always.
